MFTWSC175 "MISSING YOU" card

Another fun sketch for this week's MFTWSC175 Sketch Challenge.     I was going to flip the sketch and make my card layout that way, but my scalloped oval piece was overlapping the circles with brads, so I turned it and left the sketch as it was.      

I went to Michael's today and scored some My Mind's Eye 6x6 paper pads for only $1.99.  They had a bunch of them and I took several up that I liked and asked the cashier to price check them.   One was $2.99 and the others were $1.99.   I resisted buying more of the Loves Me  pads since I have so many already.    If you have a Michael's store nearby, you should check them out.   The store I went to today was in Southern Pines, I went there hoping to find some more of the paper pads, as the store in Fayetteville had some marked down but not many left at that price.

"YOU FLOAT MY BOAT" card using some new Lawn Fawn stamps/dies

I have had this stamp set and matching die set from Lawn Fawn called Float My Boat, sitting on my desk for the last week or so.  I have wanted to ink it up and use it on a card.. last night I did just that.      I used a weekly sketch from MFT on my card.    

Anytime I make a card using Red, White and Blue..  this results in a big smile on my face!!!

"HELLO I love you" patriotic card

I purchased some Grand Nestabilities Square and Rectangle dies at my local ACMoore that were on clearance for $10.00 and then I used a 20% off coupon, making them only $8.00 a set ~ originally $49.99.    I wanted the squares so that I could cut out a portion of a card topper to create that diagonal cut.    The "HELLO" die is from Lawn Fawn.. I die cut it several times and glued them together.     Super easy card that I was wanting to try using the new dies I purchased, to see if what I had in mind, would actually work.

lot of cards "I MISS YOUR FACE"

Ohhhhh how I love this "I MISS YOUR FACE" stamp that came in a set by Impression Obsession called Going Postal.    I paired it with this fun Robot paper that I bought a while back at Tuesday Morning.

I made the card above.. liked it, and then cut out enough of everything to make a bunch more.    Note:  I ended up not using the small heart punch in the picture, instead I used a Stampin' UP! Sizzlit with hearts.

After I had everything done on all the cards.. except the sentiments.  I was stamping them out, thinking that was all I had left to do,, then realized I still needed to cut the black layers for them.  That went pretty quick and the cards were all done.

4 more Gus The Golfer cards

Last night while trying to gather up all the printed off "sketches" that were stacked up on my desk, I found a sheet of four colored in Gus The Golfer images.

 I cut them down to size and then layered them onto black card stock.      I dug through some paper pads and found this pattern paper to use on the cards.  These were super quick because the images were already colored.

I made one of these cards yesterday (the red one) and last night I made 22 more.. but in pink.


Here is the red one alongside some of the pink ones that I had just finished.   That pile in the upper right is the sentiment panels that I still had left to adhere to the cards that are in the upper left of the picture.

 This is after I had everything cut, stamped, scored and embossed..  then I got busy putting everything together.

SENDING YOU lots of hugs card

I recently purchased the Cuttlebug Embossing Folder that I used on this card today.   I have been wanting to use it on a card and today I thought I would.    This card is super quick & easy.   I love how you can see all the X's & O's on the embossed layer.       I do not have a lot of red card stock on hand.. but do have a bunch of Stampin' UP! Pink card stock that I am wanting to use up, so I think the next cards I will use it instead.   I was playing around to see how the embossing would turn out and had grabbed the red piece sitting on my desk.

MFTWSC174 "YOURS TRULY" card

When I went to make this card.. I remembered that I had purchased some dies, not too long ago,  from a lady on eBay and I thought I'd finally use them.   I didn't know that the circles would layer on each other so nicely from die-cutting the Peek-a-Boo Trio and Squared circles from the dies, so happy to see that.   I used some more paper from the My Mind's Eye Love Me paper pad.

SSSC217 "MISSING YOU" patriotic USA card

I made this card a couple of nights ago.   I was trying to finish it up and wasn't happy with myself because I had die-cut the United States shape, then put dimensionals all over the back of it...  without stamping the shapes of the states stamp all over it.. grrrrr!!!     I laid it on my desk and forgot about it until tonight when I was going to sit down and make something.    The weather here in NC isn't all that great tonight, so I didn't make it back to my desk.     I really hope that the bad weather just goes away...  it has caused enough pain this past week for a lifetime in some parts of the country.   Prayers for those affected by the storms.
