I hope you are having a great day today!  The sun is shining here in Washington, which it hasn't been to much lately because of all the rain.   I got my granddaughter down for a nap and thought I'd get this blog post going.

I received my DT package full of goodies that it was hard to pick something to use for my card today.  Since I skipped last month's My Favorite Things Pure Innocence stamp set, I thought this sweetie from the MFT Fresh Squeezed and coordinating Dies would be perfect to use ~ plus I LOVE coloring up the adorable images.

I started with this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge for the layout of my card. The image was stamped using Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink onto some Neenah Solar White card stock and colored using Copic Markers.

I paper pieced her dress using some fun gingham pattern paper.  This is so easy to do. You ink up and stamp the stamp onto the pattern paper, then cut it out just along the outside of the line. After cutting out your piece, take a Memento Black Marker (or any black marker) and go around the outside edge with the marker to cover up the white portion of the paper that shows around the outside.

I used Multi Medium Matte adhesive to glue her dress down, then laid an acrylic block on top for a minute. I LOVE the Multi Medium Matte, because if any seeps out, it doesn't show up  ~ yeah!!

Here is the sketch I used:  MFTWSC330
SUPPLIES:

card stock:  Neenah Solar White, blue
pattern paper: from stash

**WINNER!!**   the winner in the giveaway from last week is: Rita ~ Congrats Rita! I have sent an email your way.

I hope you had a great day today.  I'm running a bit behind tonight. My daughter started a new job today and I had fun spending the day with my 7 1/2 month old granddaughter.  Time got away from me trying to get things done that I didn't do earlier in the day.

I used some new Sunny Studio Stamps on my card ~ the cool Perfect Popsicles and coordinating dies. Oh my goodness!!   I need to go through all the ink pads I own and pick out some fun color combinations.   I used a stamping tool on my popsicle, but using an acrylic block would work as well.     Since I didn't pay attention to how the die was.. haha..  I stamped the popsicle and the stick separately..  oops!  so I die cut one and then die cut the other and then layered them together.

The background was done by smooshing an Distress Oxide Ink Fossilized Amber pad onto a craft mat, spraying it with water, spraying the watercolor paper and then brushing on the color. I would heat set it, spray with water, heat set, then flicked on some color, heat set and so fourth.  I then flicked some Ranger black acrylic paint onto it after mixing it with water.

Here are most of the supplies I used on my card ~ Links in Supply list below:

Sweet Stamp Shop April Release "MILITARY STAMPS!!" ~ "HOME OF THE FREE BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE" Navy Hero Card

Recently I was asked if I'd like to be a part of a release for some new stamps that just happen to be Military themed stamps.  Being an Army wife, daughter, sister and Air Force Mom, I jumped at the opportunity.  The stamps are so much fun and the images in one stamp can be used in conjunction with the other sets.

While making this sweet card using the Navy Hero and the Air Force Hero sets, I was thinking of a friend whose son is in the Navy.  I stamped the images onto some Neenah Solar White card stock using Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink and colored them up with Copic Markers.   The fun Patriotic papers are from the Doodlebug Patriotic Parade paper pad.

The sketch I used is an Operation Write Home Sketch #257: I had to turn the sentiment piece and to fit the sentiments I used, the piece is 1" wide instead of the 3/4" wide that the sketch has.

I have so enjoyed making these cards.  It's so nice to have a stamp company releasing Military themed stamps.

Be sure to stop by the Sweet Stamp Shop Facebook page ~ and the April Release Event Facebook Page.      Here are links to two other cards I shared using these awesome stamp sets:  COASTIE CARD and ARMY HERO CARD.

SUPPLIES:

card stock:  Neenah Solar White, Bazzill Red, SU Brillant Blue

On my card today I used the image for the Soldier from the Army Hero stamp set and the sentiment is from the Marine Hero stamp set.  I colored the Soldier to look like my husband's uniform does ~ and added a star to his chest.

I hope you are having a wonderful day.  Today I decided to make a card to add to the box I am working on to send to a deployed military unit.

There are some wonderful sentiments in the Concord & 9th Brushed Blossom stamp set I picked out to use. Since "love" cards are always in need for soldiers who are deployed to send home to their loved ones, so I chose the "much love" sentiment to use on my card.

The Concord & 9th Blossom Die was used to make the flower ~ I did some Inlaid Die-cutting with it.

Here are most of the supplies I used on my card ~ links below in supply list.

I used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch #492: MOJO492

MEASURMENTS:

I will make some more cards like this one, but will use only the outline of the Blossom die to make making multiples go quickly.

Supplies:

card stock:  Bazzill Red Hots card stock, cream
pattern paper: paper pad from stash
stamps: Concord & 9th Brushed Blossom
ink: Versafine Black
accessories: Scor-Buddy, Concord & 9th Blossom Die, Neat & Tangled Peppermint Stick SequinsMulti Matte Medium, Foam Tape, Tim Holtz Scissors, BigShot, Pick Me Up Tool, MFT Blueprints 27

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #2 "HANG IN THERE" Interactive card using Sloth from "Hang In There"

Happy Friday!   Challenge #2 on the Lawn Fawnatics blog is "Interactive Cards".   I was going to put the Sloth on a "wiggly thing"  ~ can't remember what they are called.  After tearing my stamp room apart trying to find some, I gave up and decided to go another route ~ video clip below shows how it works.  I think I like this better.

I stamped the sloth from the Lawn Fawn Hang In There stamp set onto some Neenah Solar White card stock using Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink, then colored it up using Copic Markers.  I die-cut it out using the coordinating die.  The trees are from the Lawn Fawn Leafy Tree Background die set. I cut out two and reversed the one on the right, same with the green portion for the tree, I put the die on the backside of the pattern paper to get it to cut out the shape the direction I needed it to be.

Here is a quick video clip of how the interactive part of the card works:

TupeloDesignsLLC DT Card Project "OH HAPPY DAY" card using #MFTSTAMPS & dies Sow Much Fun MFTWSC327

Happy Thursday..  I have a TupeloDesignsLLC DT card project to share today that uses some fun My Favorite Things stamps and dies.

From the website:
TUPELODESIGNSLLC HAS THE HOTTEST TOOLS OF THE TRADE FOR ARTISTS & CRAFTERS AND WE OFFER FREE SHIPPING (INSIDE THE US) ON ALL PRODUCTS IN THE STORE!!!

My card today is a collaboration between my daughter and I.  We used the new My Favorite Things Sow Much Fun stamps and dies.  They images were stamped onto some Neenah Solar White card stock using Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and they were colored with Copic Markers.  My daughter colored the images. They were too cute to not use on a card.

Today I received an order that included the Kuretake Gansai Tambi Water colors.  I did a quick wash of two colors to represent "grass" and "sky" onto some Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor paper, then die cut it using an MFT die.  The colors are so creamy.  I'm glad I purchased them. I'll need to get some practice in.

The images are the stamp set are soooo cute!  Here are the other images that are in the set.

The sentiment I wanted to use was too long to fit on the circle, so I snipped it apart into three parts, put them on my block and stamped it onto a die cut circle.   When I cut stamps apart, I stretch them a little bit to make room in between the letters and simply cut it apart. They are easy to put back as one sentiment when needed.    **I didn't realize until now just how dirty my acrylic block is.  I have some hand sanitizer in the box I keep the blocks in, using it and a cleaning rag will make it good as new!

Here are most of the supplies I used on my card ~ links in supply list below:

I used this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #327:  MFTWSC327
