CONGRATULATIONS!!! to the Blog Candy Winners

I printed off all the comments.. cut each one out, folded up the paper, laid them in a pile on the floor and mixed them all up. I then asked my daughter to pick two of them for me. She didn't know what they were for and asked me about them. I told her that she just picked two winners of some stamp sets. She was tickled. My daughter has cerebral palsy and said she's excited for those that won and to tell you each congratulations.

Congrats are in order for:

It's time to CELEBRATE!

This card uses another of the $1.00 sets I got from J's yesterday.

I stamped the clock face from the retired Stampin' UP! Artifacts set on the plaid layer, but after I had already attached it to the kraft layer.. it was an afterthought. The brads are only through the blue layer on each scallop, so they do not lay flat and give it a little lift.

Looks like Blogger might be back to working now.. yeah! Last night was Game 7 of the Red Wings vs. Sharks. I like to stamp while watching and listening to the game.. otherwise, I'd have my hands free to throw stuff at the TV, just kidding! I do really get into the games and las night was no exception.

I used the same papers on these cards and used some new $1.00 stamps I got at J's yesterday.

Here they are:

On the Butterfly card... I stamped the butterfly with StazOn black in onto Vellum, then cut it out.. I colored it on the back using Copic Markers. It is attached using mini glue dots.

... now is when I wish I had an extra set of hands or two...

I cut through a half a pack of the GP Card Stock that I get from Wal-Mart, that I use for inserts in the cards that I send out to family, friends and Operation Write Home. The stack I've cut is several inches tall,,, but I know it won't be enough.. I need to put inserts in nearly every single one of these cards in this picture. Now is when I wish I had an extra set of hands or two.. or three.. or... ha ha

... Happiness is a Journey.. not a Destination card

I seen a card made by Sandy of OWH either yesterday or the day before and it had a really neat Eagle on it. This is the only Eagle stamp I own and so I thought I'd give it a try on a card.. the sample card I made I stamped the trees using my Stampin' UP! Always Artichoke ink pad, it needs reinking, so I'm going to use a distress ink instead for the next ones. I stamp the Eagle in black, trees in green and the sentiment in blue.. layer that layer on the Night of Navy card back.. stamp some trees on the bottom of another cream layer and attach it inside.. I get the top and inside done in one swooop.

... all 30 Father's Day (DAD) cards are completed... yeah!

I have just finished this batch of 30 Father's Day (DAD) cards. I wanted to finish them last night, but trying to do lots of things while trying to put cards together doesn't work out too well. With 90 brads to put in each hole and opening the backs, it took some time. Today it was tying the ribbon that took a little time.. but I like they way they turned out and am glad to add them to the box to head to Operation Write Home.

... almost done with the Father's Day (DAD) cards

These are taking me a little longer then I had hoped they would. While trying to put these together, I was watching a Hockey game, uploading photos to our Brigade's FB page, talking to kids, husband and anyone else would wanted to talk.. ha ha!

I have all the layers put together.. as I go to put the top layer on the cards, I am tying some thin ribbon around them and tying a knot.. then putting on the circle layers with the DAD sentiment on them.

They are not my normal cards.. I would've liked to have more stamping on them.. but I needed a bunch of cards quickly and these are just what I wanted. It's 12:30 and I need to be up in six hours, so I need to hit the sack.. I'll finish these tomorrow.

... getting ready to put together 30 Father's Day (DAD) cards

Don't forget to leave a comment on this post BLOG GIVEAWAY you could be one of two winners of an Amuse Hero Mail stamp set.

I was going to make 30 Christmas cards tonight to get months ahead in the Christmas card challenge.. but earlier I seen a video from Sandy (OWH) that said they were short of Father's Day cards... so I thought I'd make some of them instead.

I just finished cutting, punching and stamping everything I need to put together these cards.. I haven't even done one yet, I seen this layout in a book and thought I'd use it because it looked like I could crank out a bunch of cards really quick.. I am adding brads to my card because I don't like a bunch of "blank" area on my cards.

another card using Live Your Dream...

Since I had the stuff already pulled out and laying on my desk.. I thought I'd make another card using the Stampin' UP! stamp set Live Your Dream along with some Afternoon Tea DSP. I colored my brads with a dark brown Copic marker.. the sharpie wasn't brown enough.
