SC413 Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.

Today I thought I'd get caught up in posting some cards I recently made...  last week to be exact.  I have been so busy with this, that and the other that I haven't had a chance to post them.
This card uses some papers I was gifted last year.. I paired the papers with some card stock a while back, but hadn't had a chance to use them until this past week and I grabbed it to use it on this card.
I used some MFT products.. the sentiment is MFT and the flower and button dies, the ovals as well, are MFT Die-namics.

I used SCS Sketch 413 on this card:

**I left the papers downstairs, so I'll have to add the paper line at another time.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas!

I colored this sweet snowman this past Saturday and today wanted to put him on a card.

Super easy card to make.  The Christmas card deadline for OWH has passed, so I'll hold on to him for next year.

I Love You

I colored up this sweet girl this past Saturday and today thought I'd put her on a card.   I used the OWH Sketch #146.. I sure do like it.

I used Stampin' UP! Riding Hood Red and Sahard Sand card stock. White card stock cover for the Pure Innocence image that I purchased from an Etsy store and printed it out using my laserjet printer. I colored her with assorted Copic markers and cut the image out using MFT Die-Namics Rectangle Stax dies..  The Banner is made using MFT Die-Namics Fishtail Banner Stax, I embossed the top layer of the banner using a Paper Studio embossing folder.  I used some brads and Dimensionals too.

You Make Me Smile

This is a card I had a lot of fun making.  I had colored the image this past Saturday and when I sat down to make a card, I was going to use one sketch.. then part of the way through, decided to go with another.. and ended up using bits and pieces from each sketch.. haha.

The image is a Pure Innocence I purchased from an Etsy shop, the sentiment is from a MFT stamp set. The papers are from I believe an Echo Park paper pad, I didn't bring it up here with me, but I do think it's from one of their pads.

MFTWSC98 You Are Pretty Amazing.... Really, YOU Are!

Anyone that knows me, knows I "LOVE" sketch challenges.  I especially like the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenges ~ because they usually have lots of "layers!!!" which I also love.     I printed off the sketch last week, but haven't been able to get to it because of so much other things going on.  I thought today I'd get busy with it.  Here is what I made:

I stamped the main sentiment first, then cut it out using the MFT Dienamics Circle Stax.. love them!!!  You get a nice layer on your circles.  I do have both sets, because I do like the closer layers.

I had planned on making a regular A2 size card, but after cutting out the circles, I realized that that wasn't going to happen.. so I got some more brown card stock (this brown is my absolute favorite paper ever!! Neenah Cayon Brown #100 Cover.. awesome stuff!!)... the papers are from an Authentique paper pad.

The sentiments are from an MFT stamp set.. I really, really like the bold lettering.

Here is the link to the MFTWSC98 Challenge thread on SCS.

"I Love You This Much"... sweet Love YOU card

The deadline for Valentine's Day cards for OWH is December 31st... yikes!!!  gotta get busy making some "love" cards.

I seen this week's sketch challenge on OWH, printed it off and laid it on my desk.   This afternoon while watching the NASCAR race, I colored in some images and so after the race, I decided to sit down and make a card using the sketch.. this is what I came up with.

this is sketch I used.. I turned it sideways.

"I Miss You" cards using OWH Sketch Challenge #146

I made two more cards tonight using this week's OWH Sketch Challenge #146.

I colored the two images while at Ft. Leavenworth, KS and when we returned home, my order from MFT of some Die-Namics had arrived, so I cut the images out and a layer for each as well.  These cards went together rather easy because of having the images already done.

pattern paper: Echo Park Country Drive
ink: laserjet printer, asst. copic markers

StampersBest Q & A post on their blog.. about ME!!!

I was asked a while back by Susan at StampersBest if I would like to do a blog post with some Q & A's and if I would share some tips on making multiples of cards....  funny thing is that the night before I received her email I was working like a "mad stamper" (though not mad at all) trying to get the cards done to send to the WWII Veterans that were going on the Space Coast Honor Flight to D.C.  I had already finished the 25 "From a Grateful American" cards, along with 40 cards for Volunteers in our battalion... and then I wanted to make 25 more cards, all Veteran's Day cards.  As I was making the cards, I thought to myself that I should do a blog post about things that I do while making multiples of cards.. as I was doing some embossing, I was going to take some pictures, however all the cards for my camera were upstairs and I didn't have any time to stop what I was doing to go upstairs and get it, so I resolved to do it another time.  The next morning I get the email from Susan.. I was at the airport picking up my mom and as I read it I was giggling out loud.

I am making cards this Saturday with some spouses from a company in our battalion, that has already deployed.   I wanted to make some "patriotic" cards for them to write notes in to send to their soldiers, I also sent some out in the mail to family who are Veteran's for Veteran's Day.

I was making 25 cards and thought it was the perfect time to take pictures and answer the questions in the email that Susan had sent to me.. I was using one of the fabulous stamps from their website: True Soldier

So here is the link to the blog post on the StampersBest Blog.

.. and here is one of the cards of the 25 that I made:

OWH Sketch Challenge #146 ~ You're So Special To Me

What a fun sketch this week's OWH Sketch Challenge #146 is.. as soon as I opened the page open, I was very happy to see it.  I just grabbed some papers and started making the card.. then went looking for a sentiment ~ I knew I was going to ue the doily die, I haven't used it in a long while and thought I'd put it on the card.   I used a sentiment from one of the OWH ~ Hero Arts stamp sets.

Supplies used on this card:

card stock: Neenah Cayon Brown #100 cover, White
pattern paper: Jillibean Soup Dutch Mustard Coordinating Papers (Creme Fraiche, Leeks, Cornstarch)
stamps: OWH/Hero Arts Year Round Sentiments
ink: Memento Brown
accessories: embossing folder, MFT Die-namics Fishtail Banners Stax, Memory Box doily die, MFT Die-namics Oval Stax, paper piercer, white brads and Dimensionals!!!

Happy Holidays ~ Stars & Stripes ornament card

Last week a stamping friend asked if I would be interested in this stamp... "oh yes" I replied.. I love that it has Stars & Stripes.. isn't it neat??  ~*(Thanks Pat)    It arrived two days ago and I immediately mounted it onto some foam and yesterday morning I made this card with it.

I inked the stamp up using some Distress Markers, then huffing and stamping it onto some white card stock.

The banner was made using some MFT Die-Namics Fishtail Flags..  I got the new set so that they layer together... love them!!!

Oops... I came upstairs without grabbing the paper pad I got the paper from.. I'll edit this post next time I come up here.. sorry about that.  I'll also add the measurements because they are written on a paper downstairs as well.. double sorry.

Hope you have a great Thursday evening.

Wedding card for good friends.. what I've been busy doing.

Some good friends of ours had a Celebration of their Wedding ceremony on Saturday.  We attended and had such a great time at the wedding and the reception.  This is the card I made that morning to attach with their gift.  I hope they liked it.. and their gift as well.

For this card I used a new cuttlebug embossing folder, MFT Dienamics Layered Rose die, some "bling", a Stampin' UP! "Congratulations" stamp, a Stampin' UP! rhinestone brad, Memento black ink, white and black card stock.

**The Cuttlebug folder is from a set called Decorative Tile Set.

***I have been super busy cutting all kinds of cards stock, papers, stamping images, etc..  I am getting together with some spouses in one of our companies that deployed a week ago.. we are going to make cards for them to send to their soldiers down range,,, so I have been working diligently to get them all done because there is another company down range as well and I want to get together with them as well.

Happy Election Day everybody!!!

Senior Night ~ Football players cards

Last Friday was Senior Night at my kids High School.   My youngest daughter wanted to fill some treat bags for two of the players and asked me to make some cards for them.. these are what I came up with. I used my Cricut for everything on the cards.   I really like how the footballs turned out. The cartridge I used was the Sports one and I used Plantin Schoolbook for the numbers. Somewhere around here (still packed in a box) is my Locker Talk cartridge and I wish I had had it to do the numbers with. My daughter said that the players said "thank you" and that they really liked the cards and all the snacks/candy in the bags.

Christmas Blessings ~ Santa Claus card *Measurements*

I posted this card back in December 2011.  I have
been asked several times what the measurements are for the layers
on this card.. however I had gifted the card to a fellow stamper and didn't have it
anymore.. this past weekend I sat down and remade the card based off the picture of it
on my blog.. it took me two attempts.. the first one the red embossed layer wasn't long enough.

Below is my scribbled notes on the paper that I wrote as I worked on the card.

Measurements are:

Kraft card base 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" and folded in half

strip with Christmas Blessings sentiment stamped on it and layers:
white: 2" x 4 1/4"
black: 2 1/8" x 4 1/4"
red...  this layer is punched with a scallop on the bottom.. after punching I measured it to be 2 3/8" x 4 1/4"

red embossed panel and layers are:

red embossed pieced: 2 1/4" x 3 3/4"
white: 2 3/8" x 3 7/8"
black: 2 1/2" x 4"

Santa layer:
Stamp is from Delta and is called Santa Collage. I found mine at Michael's but I have seen it at Hobby Lobby as well.
Santa:  2 1/8" x 3 1/8"  I cut then stamp
red: 2 1/4" x 3 1/4"
black: 2 3/8" x 3 3/8"

I hope I got them all right.. as I wrote them down.

I put everything in an image that you should be able to print out.. I've never done this before, so I hope it works right.

SUPPLIES:
