Lot of 8 "HELLO" cards AND ~ All the cards (28) made today using a MME My Girl 6 x 6 Paper Pad

I have finished off another paper pad, this time it's My Mind's Eye My Girl.   I ended up with 28 cards and really like the way they turned out.    The HELLO cards above use the 2" x 4 1/2" pattern paper strips that I had left. I did have some small pieces that I started punching out 1" squares, but it seemed a waste of time, so I tossed them into the recycle bin.   

Below is a picture of all 28 cards that I made today.  

The previous posts show the "I Love You" and the "I Miss You" cards and the sketches used for them.

Lot of 10 "I LOVE YOU" kids cards *w/measurements

After making 10 cards earlier today, I decided to find another sketch in my pile of Deconstructed Sketches that I have printed off and selected Sketch #48.     I altered it a tad to make it work with the papers I was using and I really like the way they turned out.

*NOTE:  The two cards above the sketch printout were made using two of the 2" strips I had leftover.  To make this set of 10 cards, I ended up using every sheet in the MME paper pad My Girl that I was using.   I have some 2" strips left and some pieces I am punching out that I may use on the next set of cards. I'll figure that out after posting this.  

This was when I started, I made two cards to see if I liked how they looked before proceeding on with making others.

 *TIP.  For the half circle piece I had pieces leftover from the tops of  strips I cut, I used a very large circle punch to punch them out, then punched out some pieces in black with the same punch and layered them together.

*MEASUREMENTS:

card base:  8 1/2" x 11"  scored at 4 1/4"

solid layer  4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
pattern layer 4" x 5 1/4"

banner
solid/pattern  .. I cut a piece 3 1/8" wide and longer than 4 1/2".. after trimming the banner ends, I cut it to 4 1/2" long, adhered it to the black layer and then cut the banner ends on the black piece.

on the cards with the 2" wide banner, I cut the piece 2 1/8" wide and did the same as the banner above.

this will be determined by your sentiment. The sentiment I used is one I bought at Michael's. I cut the white piece 1" x 3 1/2" and the black layer 1 1/8" x 3 5/8"

Lot of 10 "I MISS YOU" cards for kids *w/measurements

I seen on the OWH site that the Mid Month Throwdown challenge was to make Cards for Kids.   I grabbed one of the MME My Girl paper pads that I purchased recently and got busy to make some cards. After deciding on a sketch, I cut everything and then layered them all onto black card stock. 

Here I have all the pieces for ten cards ready.

I laid out all ten of the larger pattern layers and took the long rectangle layers and sorted them out to which card they would go on and then I did the same with the thin strips.  

Here I have everything cut, stamped, punched and all layers together.. time to assemble them.

MFTWSC216 "LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK" card

Today is our youngest daughter's birthday. She turned 18 today. Tonight she invited some friends over for pizza, movies, cake and ice cream. Not long after they arrived, the ice storm hit and two of the girls are no staying the night so she is having a sleepover.      The rain/ice is still coming down.  All of that on top of all the snow we have had this past week, the weather here is a Cold Mess!!

After all the party festivities died down.. I could wander off to my stamp room to get my stamp on.  First up, I wanted to make a card using this week's sketch.. and just now as I am typing this, the top of the sketch image is on the bottom of the screen and I see that I missed rounding the top corners..  blah!!!!  

I was trying to make a "moon"..  haha... my son said "yeah mom, it looks like a .......  moon!"  haha

The stamp set I purchased from a lady on SCS arrived yesterday.  I wasn't able to get around to stamping with it to get these cards completed.  They were all cut, just waiting on sentiments.  They are all done and I really like how they turned out.

31 TIGER "Keep Calm & Dream Big" and "LOVE YOU" and "Thank You" cards from Authentique Autumn paper pad

My kids didn't have school today because of the snow. My daughter had stayed the night at a friends house and after picking her up this morning and returning home, I decided to wipe out another paper pad. 

The pad I choose was by Authentique called Autumn.  This was super easy to use up as nearly every sheet is without a lot of patterns, mostly solid with some marbling to them.  

All of the LOVE YOU cards used a solid layer measuring 4 1/8" x 5 3/8".  Then I took one sheet that was patterned and I cut it down into 2" x 6" strips, then cut them in half to be 2" x 3".  I had to do that so I would have enough for nearly all the cards. I had one card that I had to cut a solid strip down to use.  

 Below are pictures showing how to use the 2" x 3" pieces to make them work for the banner that goes behind the Tiger image.  

I was cutting them in half first, then putting adhesive on them. I found that was a pain.. so I put adhesive around the edges and a strip in the middle, cut them in half>>>>>>>

Then I adhered each end to each end of the black layer that is cut 2 1/8" x 4 1/8".   This piece when put on the card will be behind the Tiger and no one will know that it's not a solid piece, but you.

Just wanted to share a tip to do when punching out a shape that you can put the punch in far enough that when you punch, it's not showing when you put a layer on top of it.  This way you save on paper and again no one will know it's had something punched out of it.. but you.

After I did all the larger pieces and finished all the LOVE YOU cards, I had these papers leftover.   I cut the strips down to 2" x 4 1/2", the strips were already cut to size from when I cut the papers for the other cards and they measure 3/4" x 4".  I layered all of them onto black card stock.

This is what your paper will look like before putting the Tiger image on top of it.  The area in between the pieces of pattern paper will not show once the Tiger is on top of it.  

I had one piece left that was  2" x 4 1/2". I used it and one strip that was 3/4" x 4" on top of an embossing piece to make the one Thank You card.  

I had only a couple of small pieces left after making all 31 of these cards.

Lot of 34 assorted cards ~ used up another 6 x 6 paper pad by MME ~ Breeze

Well, another paper pad is dust!  This time it's a My Mind's Eye paper pad called Breeze.  I have lots of this same paper pad.  A while back I made a whole bunch of cards from one of these pads and I liked them so much I bought a whole bunch more.   

There are several cards that have no sentiment on them.. that is because the stamp set hasn't arrived to me yet. I bought a set from a lady off of SCS by Stamps of Life that is called Phrases2Say.   I will need to cut the white/black layers for those cards in the middle.. not sure why I forgot them, but they'll be taken care of as soon as the stamp set gets here which I hope is tomorrow.

For these cards I used some Operation Write Home Sketches #16, 41 and 46.  The cards in the bottom row and the ones with the Tigers on them were made using pieces I had left, just put together without any sketch.

34 "THERE IS NO ONE LIKE YOU" cards from one Authentique Paper Pad *w/measurements

I made it through another 6 x 6 paper pad. This time it's one by Authentique called Thankful with very pretty fall colors. I paired them with a really awesome stamp by Deep Red called Buck Deer. I purchased mine off of Amazon..  link above is for the Amazon page.

This was the first card I made. I wanted to see if I liked it before cutting up an entire paper pad.  I liked it, so onward I went with cutting everything up.  The deer were already stamped. When my son was visiting in October, he had another blockage and ended up staying in the hospital for a week. At night I would take stamping stuff to the hospital and stamped a big ole' stack of these images.

 These are the stamps I used ~ Buck Deer by Deep Red and Oh What a Guy by Hero Arts, it is one of the Operation Write Home fundraiser stamp sets.

 I have all the foam tape put on the backs of the deer layers.

Time to stamp all the sentiments ~ I punched out all the layers and then laid them on a dark piece of card stock to stamp, it makes it easier to see the circles that way.

Midway through putting the cards together~ I was laying on my trimmer which sits to the left of me on a small table I purchased from IKEA.. I was really liking how they were turning out.

A funny thing happened while making cards.. used up 2 6 x 6 paper pads!! Yeah!!

Yesterday while shopping in Springfield, I stopped by a local scrapbook store that I had a $5.00 rewards for, so I bought a new set of "hello" dies by Memory Box.    Last night I got started on some cards and I made a handful of cards after cutting up an entire paper pad. I figured I'd finish up the cards today.

This morning my husband and I took the kids to Hardee's for some biscuits & gravy.. ohhh yummy!  and when I got home I went about finishing up the cards.    I had nearly all the pieces I cut from the paper pad used up when I realized I had a few of the 2" x 5 1/4" pieces left.  I dug through my paper pads to find another of the same pads and grabbed what I thought was the same...  same color scheme, but a totally different pad.. oops!    so I went ahead and cut it all up and spent most of the day and night finishing up all these cards.

I made an assortment of Hello, Thank You and Miss You cards.   These were a lot of fun to make.  I ended up with 42 cards in all.

A couple of nights ago I grabbed a paper pad and got to cutting it up.   The paper pad happened to be one of the My Mind's Eye pad titled Come Away With Me.

I seen a card by Kristie Marcotte and used the layout for the first two rows of cards.
