My photo cards are all completed... this is how they turned out

I finished all my photo cards a couple of nights ago. I ended up filling two of the containers I fill with cards before sending them to Operation Write Home. I don't know how many I made, but there's a bunch. Some photos I had 30 prints printed, and some only 10 each.. and then there was three that I must've not been paying attention to and only had 1 of each done.. they still have 10 cent prints this week at Walgreen's so I'll get some more printed off.

I took these photos while we were in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan the last week of June and first two weeks of July. It is so beautiful.. if you ever get a chance to visit there, you should.

Here is each one and below the picture is what the picture is of.

Wagner Falls near Munising, Michigan

Upper Tahquamenon Falls... this is my favorite photo that I took at the falls that day.

Paradise, Michigan.

SC345 "For You" butterfly card .. red, white, blue and kraft

I finally got around to putting in an order for myself of some new Stampin' UP! goodies.. the preorder for the upcoming Holiday Mini was on and so I did get some goodies from there too.. I just haven't used them yet.

I seen the new sketch challenge on SCS for this week and thought I'd make a card using this layout:

Stamps: Precious Butterflies (hostess set)
Paper: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy, White
Ink: Distress inks in blue and red (I didn't unpack any of my SU ink pads, so I had to use them)
Accessories: Nestabilities Dies, Circle Punch, SU Butterfly Embosslits, Dimensionals, Hole Punch, White Brads, Crumb Cake Binding

Working on more Photograph cards...

Last night I finished 25+ cards that had photographs I took of the Mackinac Bridge on them.. today I am working on two other photos, these are some of the pictures I took while at the Tahquamenon Falls.

I used up all the Soft Suede paper I had and what I had left of River Rock.. and then grabbed some Cajun Craze to make all 10 card bases for these.

working on cards using photographs that I took in the U.P. of MI.

This is what I have done so far.. I did one of each of the prints I had printed off today so I could see them.. I took all of these while we were in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan last month. The weather was beautiful as it always is in the U.P. and the sites are breathtaking.. I have been to the Upper and Lower falls numerous times over the years and enjoy stopping in there so very much.. and then to head a little north to Paradise, taking a left and heading to Whitefish Point to walk on the sandy beach and stick your footies in Lake Superior.. I cannot think of too many things I'd rather be doing.

finished up a set of six of the "thinking of you" cards

Earlier I finished this set of six cards to add to my box of cards to send to Operation Write Home. I need to stop by the post office and pick up a box so that I can get things ready to mail out to Dixie.

I am going to head to Walgreen's here shortly.. I uploaded a bunch of photos that I took while in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.. I plan on using them on some "thinking of you" and "thank you" cards to send to deployed military.. using my own photographs... this is the first time I've done this so I am excited about it.

... thinking of you makes me SMILE.. cards

The owner of the stamp/scrapbook store in Dover, TN gave me and my mom some 6x6 papers and I thought I'd cut some down to make some cards with. I made these cards using two of the pieces I cut from the paper. There are many duplicates, so I can make an assortment of cards.

I used the "thinking of you makes me smile" stamp on these.. I really like that stamp.

Stampin' UP! Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive are the colors I used. I used an embossing folder on one and thought it was a bit busy, so I didn't emboss the panel

12 more I "heart" MY DAD cards...

I made 12 more of the I "heart" my DAD cards tonight/this morning.. and just finished them up. I had took the time to dig through the boxes of my Stampin' UP! Hodgepodge Hardware to pull out the little thing a mi bobs plus brads to go on my cards.. then I put dimensionals (5 each) on the backs of the pickup layers.. grrrrrrr.. I wasn't supposed to do that.. so I left the thingybobs off.. I'll use them again cause I'm sure I'll make some more of these cards.

It's now 12:58 am so I am heading to bed.. I think I'll ask Steve if tomorrow we can drive to New Mexico for the heck of it.
