MOJO426 "WISHING YOU A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS" card

Wow!  what an awesome sketch this week's Mojo Monday Sketch #426 is.  I pulled out some papers that are in a plastic storage bin where I keep a bunch of 6 x 6 papers that I cut down from 12 x 12 papers. I filled three or four bins, I shipped the others and kept one with me.  I am not sure who makes it.

This is the sketch I used:  MOJO426

MFTWSC257 "I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART" card

This week's MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge is a pretty neat sketch.  I shipped my corner rounder, so I wasn't able to do any corner rounding. I decided to use a Tag instead and I just happened to have some polka dot paper to use on it.    I used a MFT stamp set that has coordinating dies to go with it. I purchased the stamps and dies while in TN recently.

Here is the sketch I used: MFTWSC257

"GO SPARTANS" Michigan State Spartans Card

Ahhh..   With College Football and Basketball season in full swing, we are enjoying watching our boys in GREEN and WHITE playing so well.  Today I decided to pull out my Silhouette Cameo and get to cutting.  I have a bunch of Michigan State University Spartans images saved on my computer, so it was easy to get started cutting things out.  It took a few cuts to get things the right size.

A while back I downloaded the free MICHIGAN STATE SPARTANS FONT. I cut out the State "S" and then "Go Spartans".  I then cut the Spartan head out of white and green card stock, and then inlaid the white into the green.  I wish I had done that with the letters, because it would've been so much easier to line them up.   My husband called it a "masterpiece" and my son said it was "cool", so I'm happy with the way it turned out.

SUPPLIES;

card stock: white, Papertrey Ink Green, Pattern Paper Echo Park Dots & Stripes "Emerald Dots"
accessories; Scor-Pal, Silhouette Cameo, Double Sided tape and Foam Tape

SSSC297 "HOLIDAY WISHES" w/Color Layering Christmas Tree

What a fun sketch this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #277 is. I love the diagonal panel on the sketch.  I thought I'd use a new stamp set by Hero Arts called Color Layering Christmas Tree.   After stamping several different greens, I stamped a layer with Hero Arts White ink.  I wish I hadn't shipped all my embossing folders and heat gun, or I would've embossed the white on it to look like show.

Since I couldn't emboss the white, I took my Clear Wink of Stella pen and went over the areas that I had stamped in white.  It makes the tree shimmery like the striped paper.

Here is the sketch that I used: SSSC297

SUPPLIES:
card stock: white and red. pattern paper is glittery green striped papers (not sure who it is made by, might be American Crafts because I bought it at Tuesday Morning around the time that a lot of the papers were by them)
stamps: Hero Arts Color Layering Christmas Tree
ink: Assorted Greens, Hero Arts White, Versafine Black
accessories: Scor-Pal, Foam Tape

PPA277 "HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS" Foil card

I liked the Pals Paper Arts Sketch #277 so much that I made another card using it.   I used some awesome foil paper that I bought at Michael's last week.  What a site it is when embossed.  I stamped the tree on it and a star, but the ink smeared on the star, so I die-cut one.  I put clear packing tape over the tree. Not sure why in the image it looks blurry at the bottom ~ might just be the way the tape reflected when I took the picture.

SUPPLIES:

card stock:  white, Bazzill Red, Craft Smith Foil Paper (6 x 6 paper pad from Michael's)
stamps:  Just Rite Extra Grand Holiday Sentiments, Hero Arts Joy To The World
ink :Versafine Black
accessories:  Scor=Pal, Basic Grey Christmas Embossing Folder, Clear Packing Tape, MFT Star from a Blueprints set and Foam Tape

PPA277 "YOU MAKE MY HEART MELT" card

These fun stamps are from a Paper Smooches stamp set that I purchased while in TN.  The fun images and oh so cute font is what made me grab it first out of a bag of a whole bunch of new goodies.  I used this week's Pals Paper Arts Sketch #277 for my card.   I turned it so that my sentiment would fit on it better.

I used some more papers from a Carta Bella paper pad. I paper pieced the snowman's body, heart and nose. The trees were colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.    Afterwards, I was wishing I had colored them in in shades of the blues that are on the snowflake papers.

Here is this week's Pals Paper Arts Sketch #277. What a fun sketch.

SUPPLIES:

card stock:  white, Bazzill Red, SU Midnight Muse, Carta Bella Bundled Up, watercolor paper (for trees)
stamps:  Paper Smooches Warm Hearts
ink: Versafine Black, Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens, Memento Black, Orange Copic (for nose)
accessories:  Scor-Pal, MFT Tag Stax Dies (Regular and Pierced), MFT Rectangle Stax (Regular and Pierced), and Foam Tape

I used this week's MOJO Monday Sketch #425:

I was using a Color Challenge from the Stamp Ink Paper site. I am limited in the colors I have with me (the rest are in storage) and so I went with what I had.

PPA276 A Sketch Challenge: "SEASON'S TWEETINGS" card

I have had this card in my head for a few days now, I just hadn't got around to putting actions to the thoughts.  Tonight I figured I'd better get it done.   I used a stamp set that I bought a long time ago and had never used it.

Aren't these Lawn Fawn birdies soooo cute!!  The woodgrain card stock and the birds are on foam tape.  I was going to put some Wink of Stella on the scarf, hat and ear muffs, but it's packed up in one of the card kits that I'm taking to TN.

Bringing up to top.. one of my favorites "CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS" Santa card *w/measurements

I posted this card back in December 2011.  I have
been asked several times what the measurements are for the layers
on this card.. however I had gifted the card to a fellow stamper and didn't have it
anymore.. this past weekend I sat down and remade the card based off the picture of it
on my blog.. it took me two attempts.. the first one the red embossed layer wasn't long enough.

Below is my scribbled notes on the paper that I wrote as I worked on the card.

Measurements are:

Kraft card base 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" and folded in half

strip with Christmas Blessings sentiment stamped on it and layers:
white: 2" x 4 1/4"
black: 2 1/8" x 4 1/4"
red...  this layer is punched with a scallop on the bottom.. after punching I measured it to be 2 3/8" x 4 1/4"

red embossed panel and layers are:

red embossed pieced: 2 1/4" x 3 3/4"
white: 2 3/8" x 3 7/8"
black: 2 1/2" x 4"

Santa layer:
Stamp is from Delta and is called Santa Collage. I found mine at Michael's but I have seen it at Hobby Lobby as well.
Santa:  2 1/8" x 3 1/8"  I cut then stamp
red: 2 1/4" x 3 1/4"
black: 2 3/8" x 3 3/8"

I hope I got them all right.. as I wrote them down.

I put everything in an image that you should be able to print out.. I've never done this before, so I hope it works right.

SUPPLIES:
card stock: kraft, white, black, red

Embossed Trees "HAPPY HOLIDAYS" cards for kits

I decided to make card kits for these cards for my mom and I to assemble.  I cut all the layers and die-cut the flags.  I packed the stamps, inks, embossing folder and foam tape.  These are really easy to make and so much fun.    The We R Memory Keepers Woodgrain Goosebumpz folder I used is big enough you can use it either way.    I can't wait to show my mom how to make these.
