MFTWSC254 "HAPPY BIRTHDAY card

My card didn't turn out how I had planned, but after stamping the sentiment, the papers I had cut didn't fit.   I pulled out some thin Washi Tape from the EyeletOutlet.com and used them around the sentiment.

The Pure Innocence image was one that I had colored in a very long time ago. She was stamped on a piece of card stock with three others. I finally had a chance to use her on a card.   The Pure Innocence line of stamps from MFTstamps.com  are so cute.

Here is this week's MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #254:

card stock:  white, black, Authentique pattern paper
stamps:  MFT Pure Innocence Cute-a-tude, Paper Smooches Happy Birthday
ink: Versafine black, Memento Black, Asst. Copic Markers

"WANNA PLAY SOME REINDEER GAMES?" funny card

Yesterday my daughter and I drove about 160 miles round trip, to pick up a Versafine Black ink pad and a Zig Two Way Glue Pen.  .. I know, crazy, but I received my package of Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and Waterbrush, however I forgot to order some ink.  We rode up and back. Thank goodness Michael's had them both in stock.  While there I spotted a stamp set that I just had to have, the images I used on this card are from the set.

I stamped the lady and then the tree onto some Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor paper, then colored them with my new pens. No blending. I colored the images as they are depicted on the packaging.  They were so much fun to color and so easy.  I put some Wink of Stella on the star, ornaments, her jingle bells and antlers.

SUPPLIES:

card stock:  white, black, MFT Wild Cherry, Tim Holtz Watercolor paper
stamps:  Art Impressions SC0715 ~ there is no name on the packaging for the stamp set.
ink: Versafine black ink, Asst. Zip Clean Color Real Brush Markers, Wink of Stella
accessories:  Scor-Pal, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, MFT Circle Stax and Pinking Circle Dies and Foam Tape

Inked, Stamped and Embossed Trees Card "HAPPY HOLIDAYS"

I have seen so many cards done using a new Stampin' UP! Woodlands embossing folder. I don't have the folder, so tonight I looked through my bin of folders that I kept with me and lucky me, I had this tree one.

I purchased the embossing folders from Amazon.  It came in a two pack from We R Memory Keepers and the set was called:

We R Memory Keepers Woodgrain Goosebumpz Embossing Folder, 2 Per Package

It is very easy to do this technique.  You first ink up the inside of your embossing folder that has the flat area with the light blue, then ink up the tree stamp in green and stamp it directly onto the folder where you inked it up in blue.. stamp it near to the bottom which will be the bottom of your piece of card stock.   You then lay a piece of card stock carefully onto the inked side of the embossing folder, close it up and run it through your machine.  I cut my white card stock to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and then trimmed it down to 4" x 5 1/4", layered it onto a black piece of card stock and then only the white card base.      If you have a tree embossing folder, you should give it a try.

This picture shows the Tree stamp I used, it is from Northwoods. I bought is many years ago at a stamp store in St. Ignace, MI in the Upper Peninsula ~ my favorite place to visit and one day hope to live there.

"HUMBLED BY YOUR WILLINGNESS TO SERVE" ~ Army-Eagle Veteran's Day Card

I whipped this card up tonight.  I am going to make several more so they can find their way into mailboxes over the next few days.    I used one of my favorite StampersBest stamps ~ Bald Eagle Portrait Rubber Stamp. The "Army" paper is from a paper pack by Uniformed Scrapbooks of America.  The Sentiment stamp is from a Verve stamp set called "American Hero".  White and black card stock along with three brads in the upper corner and my card is all done.   Remember November 11th is Veteran's Day ~ be sure to Thank a Vet.

I recently was a Friday Fun Unity Stamp Company Winner!!!  Yeah Me!!   They sent me an Itty Bitty by Unity stamp set called Poinsettia Wishes.   Today I made a mask and got to stamping.  I was only going to down it around one corner and the bottom.. but I decided to go all the way around.  I colored and colored and colored.. haha.. to color it in.  I finally finished it.  I mounted it onto a piece of SU Cherry Cobbler card stock, then Gold poster board and onto a Cherry Cobbler card base.   I brushed Wink of Stella Clear Glitter on all the Poinsettias.

"MERRY CHRISTMAS" Inlaid ~ Ink Embossed Christmas Card

I was up early this morning getting one off to school and the other off to her day program.  After they left, I sat down at my desk and was looking at a tub on the shelf full of embossing folders. I grabbed the one in front and decided to use it on a card.   Instead of just embossing a layer, I decided to take one of the mini Hero Arts ink pads that came in last month's Monthly Hero kits, rub it on the inside, insert a white piece of card stock and run it through my BigKick.   I just love how it turned out.

I die-cut the "Merry" in white and green and inlaid the green on the white card stock.   I took the negative of the die-cut and laid it back over it and then used my Wink of Stella pen to brush the shimmery stuff onto the Merry.   I also put some Wink of Stella on the Poinsettia and leaves, I then used a Gold Sharpie for the center of the Poinsettia.

SUPPLIES:

card stock:  White, Red and Green
ink:  Hero Arts Reds/Greens, Gold Sharpie, Wink of Stella Clear Glitter
stamps:  Hero Arts Stamp & Cut Merry, Hero Arts Monthly Hero Oct. stamp set
accessories:  Scor-Pal, Hero Arts Monthly Hero Oct. Dies, Hero Arts Stamp & Cut Merry, Sizzix Embossing Folder Powdered Sugar, and Foam Tape

"YOU MEAN THE WORLD TO ME" card

I bought the You Mean The World To Me die from a resale group I am a part of.  It arrived yesterday and I had been wanting to use it.  I die-cut a blue circle and then put that onto the die and die-cut out the shapes.    ......................... now comes the part where I wasn't paying close enough attention to my dies...  see the Kraft layer that has a "stitched" edge.. and the white layer that has a "pierced" edge.. haha.   My allergies have been acting up, which affects my eyesight, at least that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Supplies:

card stock:  Red, White, MFT Kraft and Sour Apple, and  SU Midnight Muse
accessories;  Scor-Pal, MFT You Mean The World To Me, Pierced Rectangles, Blueprints, Double Sided Tape and Foam Tape

"i missed your birthday..." Crazy Birds ~ Things & Talk card

I posted a card earlier today that I finished up this morning..  after making it, I didn't want to put away my stamps and dies, so I made another card and this is it.

What fun it is to use these stamps and coordinating dies.  Tim Holtz knocked these out of the ballpark.

I die-cut a second wing and tried to stamp the wing onto a piece of transparency and then onto the back of the wing.. it didn't come out the best, so I took a Prismacolor marker and drew in the wing.  It works.  I just love the look on the bird's face while holding onto all those balloons.

SUPPLIES:
card stock:  SSS orange. White and black
pattern papers:  papers came from one of the SSS kits
stamps: Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Crazy Birds, Crazy Things and Crazy Talk.
ink: My Favorite Things Hybrid Black. Assorted Copic Markers, Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter
accessories;  Scor-Pal, Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Crazy Birds and Crazy Things Dies, Foam Tape

"i miss you ~ THINKING OF YOU" Crazy Bird card

I was seeing them everywhere and decided I just had to have them.. Tim Holtz's CRAZY BIRDS!!!  I purchased the stamps and dies from a lady in a FB resale group, the Crazy Things stamps along with matching dies and the Crazy Talk stamp set from eBay. They are so much fun to use together.  The dies cut really close to the images ~ AWEsome!!   I am going to drop this in the mail to my hubby.

For the background, I tapped a Distress Ink pad on an Acrylic block. I then took a paint brush dipped in water and swirled the ink around, then I stamped it onto the watercolor paper. What fun!
