6 X 6 paper pad all gone.. in exchange 45 "MISS YOU ~ I MISS YOUR FACE" cards

Last night I started on this bunch of cards with plans on using up the entire 6 x 6 paper pad.  I had made a some cards using some of the papers from the pad before starting on this lot, and it is now officially all gone. I had some small squares/rectangle pieces and they all went in the recycle bin.  I am left with 45 cards.

I used a BoBunny paper pad, some white card stock, navy card stock, brillant blue card stock, circle punches, scissors, photo corner punch, WeRMemory Keepers sun rays embossing folder, Scor-Pal and Dimensionals.

MISS YOU and I MISS YOUR FACE card/card lot *w/measurements

I counted all my 6 x 6 paper pads last night.. a whopping 195.. yikes!~  I decided right then to use up one of the pads I had, that had been partially used. I made two of the "MISS YOU" cards like the one above.. and then started cutting out layers for a bunch more.. picture below.

I don't know how many I cut.. but after cutting all the layers, I decided to find a larger "missing you" stamp for all the rest of the cards so that I could punch out the circles for the sentiments so that they would go together faster.  I made this one below with a "I MISS YOUR FACE" stamp and am going to finish up the rest as soon as I post this.

*MEASUREMENTS:

most of the cards use these measurements:

card base:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
solid layer:  5 1/4" x 4"
pattern layer:  5 1/8" x 3 7/8"

solid layer:  4 1/2" x 3"
pattern layer:  4 3/8" x 2 7/8"

on some layers.. the top panel was cut down so that some of the design of the bottom layer could be seen.. most of them I kept at 4 1/2" for the length, but the width was cut down to say 2 1/4" or there abouts. It depends on the pattern you are using.

flag is 1" wide and either punched, die cut or cut with scissors to make the banner end.

another MFTWSC214 card "THERE IS SUNSHINE IN MY SOUL FOR YOU"

While flipping through my dies last night I spotted this Sun Rays die from MFT and thought I'd make a card using it and this week's sketch.    After I made it, I had thought for another card that I might be able to get to today.. where I use the Sun Die to put on the circle portion of the top layer and the same stamp set.    I like the way this one turned out, but last night the creative juices were flowing and I seen the other card.. haha.

Happy Sunday to everyone!  Today I am feeling much better .. after 4 days of antibiotics.  I'm going to take the whole prescription so nothing lingers around and I end up sick again.

Here is the sketch I used: MFTWSC214

Supplies:

card stock:  black, MFT Yellow, white
ink: MFT Hybrid Black ink
stamps:  MFT Cheerful Blessings
accessories:  Scor-Pal, MFT Circle Stax Dies, MFT Sun Ray die,  MFT Blueprints Stitched die, Mini Red Brads, hole punch

I made this card last night using this week's MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge. What a fun sketch.  I used some birthday papers that are from an My Mind's Eye paper pad that I scored for a mere $1.61 at Michael's.

I have been away for the last few weeks. I traveled to Louisiana to be with my oldest son who had Small Bowel Restructure surgery.      The best part was when the doctor came in and said that as of that day he was Crohn's Free!!! yeah!!!  We both traveled back home this past week. He is doing wonderful.

Card Relay "HELLO ~ PI GIRL" Shaker Card

I am a part of a Stamping Group on Facebook and had signed up for a Card Relay. The "theme" was do so something that was "out of the box". I hadn't made a shaker card in a while.. or at least longer than I could remember.. haha

I used a cute My Favorite Things Pure Innocence image from a set called Making A List. I paper pieced her dress.   For the shaker I die cut the banner that is from an My Favorite Things Die-namics Blueprints set. I used a "Hello" die from Lawn Fawn.   The shaker stuff is some fake snow and some star sequins.  I had a lot of fun making this and am happy to be able to post it now that the recipient has received it.

I am going out of town for a while to be with my son who is having surgery.  Since I couldn't fit much in the way of card making in my suitcase.. I have instead stuffed it with skeins of yarn and am going to make a bunch of scarves while I am there to give away when I get back.
