... thinking of you makes me SMILE.. cards

The owner of the stamp/scrapbook store in Dover, TN gave me and my mom some 6x6 papers and I thought I'd cut some down to make some cards with. I made these cards using two of the pieces I cut from the paper. There are many duplicates, so I can make an assortment of cards.

I used the "thinking of you makes me smile" stamp on these.. I really like that stamp.

Stampin' UP! Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive are the colors I used. I used an embossing folder on one and thought it was a bit busy, so I didn't emboss the panel

12 more I "heart" MY DAD cards...

I made 12 more of the I "heart" my DAD cards tonight/this morning.. and just finished them up. I had took the time to dig through the boxes of my Stampin' UP! Hodgepodge Hardware to pull out the little thing a mi bobs plus brads to go on my cards.. then I put dimensionals (5 each) on the backs of the pickup layers.. grrrrrrr.. I wasn't supposed to do that.. so I left the thingybobs off.. I'll use them again cause I'm sure I'll make some more of these cards.

It's now 12:58 am so I am heading to bed.. I think I'll ask Steve if tomorrow we can drive to New Mexico for the heck of it.

just completed some more "you're a Superstar" cards

I made a total of 8 of the "You're a Superstar" cards for Operation Write Home.. I have a couple more of the blue panels.. however the yellow paper has a big hot air balloon on it, so I can't cut anymore yellow strips from it.. so this is all I can do for now.

don't mind the shadow of my head in the picture.. I had these laying on top of my washing machine.

You're a Superstar ~ card for OWH

I had some papers leftover that I had already cut and mounted from the cards yesterday, so I thought I'd make some more.. I did this one first using stars I cut out using Spellbinders dies.

I had already stamped "thinking of you" on the blue panels, so I flipped them over and stamped the sentiment "you're a superstar" from a $1.00 stamp I got at M's a while back. I could cover up the other saying using the yellow panel.

This week we challenge you to make cards for our heroes to send home to their loved ones using a “K-9” theme in honor of Private Ciara. Read more about it here: Soldier Dog

This image is a "digi stamp" that I got from the Operation Write Home Site. It is by Eric Dull of Broken Road Creative Studios.. I got my Eagle stamp from him.. it's awesome.

I used Sketch Challenge layout #37 and flipped it so my image fit on it the right way.

I "heart" my DAD... Chevrolet pickup truck card

I picked up a couple of stamp sets when I was in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan last month and after picking up the Dad sentiment stamp today at a local stamp store, I thought I would make a masculine card using one of the images from the sets I got in the U.P. This old Chevy pickup truck image worked great for what I wanted on this card.

Jesus is the Reason for the Season... Christmas card

I went to a local stamp store today looking for a stamp that a fellow stamper seen on a card I made the other day, asking if I could get one for her.. the store was out of them today, but should have them back in stock next week. I did pick up a few goodies today and one of those goodies was a new Hero Arts Christmas set.

The lady Polly at the stamp store was making some cards where she stamped in Versamark, heat set then used some pigment ink to sponge on over it.. I liked it so much I knew that I wanted to do it using this set. I made this one card.. going to make more, but want to incorporate some pattern paper on it next time.

Unity in America... American Flag Patriotic card

I liked the sketch layout of the Unity KOTM sketch challenge, I thought I'd use it again. On this card I used a set from Unity called Unity in America. The night after all our stuff was packed up.. and the router was packed, I took my laptop upstairs and plugged it into the modem (it belonged to TWC) and hopped on the Unity site so I could order the stamp set because it was on sale.. that day only.

This is my first time using it. I love everything Red, White and Blue so this was an easy one for me.
