"YOU MEAN THE WORLD TO ME" card

I bought the You Mean The World To Me die from a resale group I am a part of.  It arrived yesterday and I had been wanting to use it.  I die-cut a blue circle and then put that onto the die and die-cut out the shapes.    ......................... now comes the part where I wasn't paying close enough attention to my dies...  see the Kraft layer that has a "stitched" edge.. and the white layer that has a "pierced" edge.. haha.   My allergies have been acting up, which affects my eyesight, at least that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Supplies:

card stock:  Red, White, MFT Kraft and Sour Apple, and  SU Midnight Muse
accessories;  Scor-Pal, MFT You Mean The World To Me, Pierced Rectangles, Blueprints, Double Sided Tape and Foam Tape

"i missed your birthday..." Crazy Birds ~ Things & Talk card

I posted a card earlier today that I finished up this morning..  after making it, I didn't want to put away my stamps and dies, so I made another card and this is it.

What fun it is to use these stamps and coordinating dies.  Tim Holtz knocked these out of the ballpark.

I die-cut a second wing and tried to stamp the wing onto a piece of transparency and then onto the back of the wing.. it didn't come out the best, so I took a Prismacolor marker and drew in the wing.  It works.  I just love the look on the bird's face while holding onto all those balloons.

pattern papers:  papers came from one of the SSS kits
stamps: Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Crazy Birds, Crazy Things and Crazy Talk.

"i miss you ~ THINKING OF YOU" Crazy Bird card

I was seeing them everywhere and decided I just had to have them.. Tim Holtz's CRAZY BIRDS!!!  I purchased the stamps and dies from a lady in a FB resale group, the Crazy Things stamps along with matching dies and the Crazy Talk stamp set from eBay. They are so much fun to use together.  The dies cut really close to the images ~ AWEsome!!   I am going to drop this in the mail to my hubby.

For the background, I tapped a Distress Ink pad on an Acrylic block. I then took a paint brush dipped in water and swirled the ink around, then I stamped it onto the watercolor paper. What fun!

U.S. Army Strong Congratulations card for Husband. HOOAH!

I made this card today to send to my husband.  He recently celebrated his 27th Anniversary in the Army.   I am also sending this as a Congratulations for the new job he is about to start.   Hooah!!

I used papers from Uniformed Scrapbooks of America U.S. Army Paper Collection.  I have always wanted some of this paper and when I seen it at a local store marked down to $5.96 a pack, I bought 6 packs.  I might go back and get some more.  I love the yellow paper with the Army logos on it

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the rank ~ love that machine!!

Card stock used was black and MFT Lemon Drop yellow.

"MERRY CHRISTMAS" card using My Monthly Hero-Hero Arts Kit

Several weeks ago I ordered the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Kit the day it launched  I spent a good deal of time that day trying to get in and when I did I was so excited to get this kit in my hands.   My kit arrived and for some reason I wasn't "feeling it" to make anything.   This morning I watched a video on YouTube where the lady made a template and then stamped in the open areas, then put a thin strip of gold along the sides of each section.  I so wanted to try this so I made a template, however the first one I made was out of thicker paper and when I stamped the first image I knew I had to make another out of thinner paper.

I used gold poster board on my card.  I buy it at Hobby Lobby and get the frame department to slice it across the middle into two sheets. They charge $1.00 per cut and it was so worth it.  I can then fit each piece into my paper trimmer to cut it down.

The "bling" on the poinsettias are from The Eyelet Outlet.  I shipped my gold sharpie, so I figured I'd use them instead. When my son came home he still had his, so he let me use it in case I make more of these cards.

I know I said in my last post I would be putting together a giveaway. I hadn't forgotten forgotten ~  I have had a few appointments this week to deal with and it kinda slipped my mind. I'll get some goodies gathered up.

"MANY THANKS" card using Lawn Fawn's Happy Harvest

It's been a long while since I made anything.  I had a laundry list a mile long ~ with getting a child off to college in another state, then preparing a household for two moves, packers, movers and then moving what was being kept to move to another house.   It's finally all done, we are moved and I can finally sit down and start creating again.

Even though I wasn't making anything (because the supplies that I kept, were still in tubs), I have bought some goodies that I am ready to play with.

I bought this adorable Lawn Fawn stamp set in Springfield last week and was anxious to get it inked up, colored and onto a card.  Lawn Fawn's images are so darn cute!   I have a bunch of these images stamped and cut out, so I just need to get busy coloring to make some more cards.

SUPPLIES USED ON CARD:

card stock:  White, Brown
pattern paper: Lawn Fawn Sweater Weather
stamps: Lawn Fawn Happy Harvest
ink:  Hero Arts Black, Asst. Copic Markers, SU Crushed Curry
accessories:  Scor-Pal, Silhouette Cameo, Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders, Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling Card and Foam Tape
