Day 10. Copic Coloring MFT Pure Innocence Fun in the Sun image.

Day 10. of #thedailymarker30day Coloring Challenge.

Hello... my coloring today consisted of the skin and hair of the adorable My Favorite Things Pure Innocence image from the Stamp set called Fun In The Sun.  I got started late and then was helping my son try and update a GoPro and then I got to chatting with a friend of mine.  I am pretty tired so I am heading to bed.  I'll finish coloring this cutie tomorrow.   I am going to put her on a card using this week's Mojo Monday Sketch.

thanks for looking ~

Day 9. Layering Inks ~ TDLLC "WITH SYMPATHY" card using Altenew and Avery Elle stamps/dies *W/MEASUREMENTS

Day 9. of  #thedailymarker30day Coloring Challenge.  Today I did some ink layering.

Happy Thursday Everyone!  I have a Design Team card for TupeloDesignsLLC for you.  It's the kind of card that we card makers don't always like to make. I happened to need one and have been putting this off for a few days.  You could easily change out the sentiment to be a Happy Birthday, Anniversary, Thinking of You, etc.

The card I made is going postal tomorrow to the family of a dear friend.  She was someone I never met in person, but I know had we met we would be instant friends.  She was one to always say the nicest things, the funniest things..  things that made you smile.  I met her when I go started making cards for Operation Write Home.  Her and I would chat often, a lot of times her asking me if I knew what some crafty thing was called or who made it, etc.  I was sort of her enabler. haha.  On Thursday morning she had messaged me asking about a stamped image.  I was on my way to the airport to pick up my son and on the way there I searched to find a name/maker for that image. I searched later on that night as well and finally gave up.. messaging her around 11 pm that my searching resulted in a big fat ZERO!  The next morning I read that she had fallen and had been taken to the hospital, then early Monday morning I read she had passed away. My heart ached for a friend I had never met. It makes me cry now to try and write this out.   I will miss my friend, but I know she's in heaven getting others involved in some crafty things while not in anymore pain ~ and one day I'll get to meet her in person. Hugs Ronni until we meet in the big craft room in the sky.

=================================================================

On to my card...  I stamped all the images from the Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set using a stamping tool which makes it quite easy to line up and stamped.   I layered several Altenew inks for the flowers and then some Hero Art and Lawn Fawn inks for the leaves.

Here are all the images (less the purple flower, I actually inked and stamped it a couple of days ago). I had already cut out one of the leaves and stopped to take a pictue.

I don't own the dies to this set.. in fact I need to find out if they make dies for this set because I always have to cut it out.. haha.  it doesn't take long to cut them out.  Here are all the flowers and leaves I used for my card.  I cut them out using some awesome Cutter Bee Scissors.

I measured how wide the die-cut sentiment was and cut a piece of white card stock just a little bit wider.. I then cut a piece of black card stock to layer it on. I held them both together where they would be when I glue them together and cut up the center and then from the outer corners to the center.. that way they line up perfectly when you adhere them together.

I put double sided adhesive on the back of some black card stock.  I put the die on the other side of it and run it through my die-cutting machine. After it's cut.. there's already adhesive on the back of the sentiment. It makes it so much easier to adhere to the card.

After putting Multi Medium Matte or foam on the backs of each leaf, I would lay an acrylic block on top of it to keep it in place and let it dry.

I glued the leaves down first.  I put foam under the parts of the leaves that hang off the top layer because it's on foam.

I love all the layers on this card and I know my friend would've loved it and said something sweet that always put a smile on my face.. I hope she can look down from above and see it.. and the lone purple flower just for her.  I brushed Wink of Stella Clear Glitter on the purple one.

On the inside I stamped some leaves and adhered the last flower ~ I also stamped a sentiment from the stamp set.

I used an Outlawz Sketch Challenge and flipped the sketch: SC071316

*MEASUREMENTS:  I tried to scan it in, but couldn't get my scanner and laptop to talk to each other.. ever since being forced to use Windows 10 the two don't talk together very well!

Day 8. Copic Markers ~ SC070616 "HAPPY BIRTHDAY CUPCAKE" card using My Favorite Things stamps & dies *W/MEASUREMENTS!

Day 8 of #thedailymarker30day Coloring Challenge.   My Mojo returned today so I inked up and colored up what has to be one of my all time favorite My Favorite Things Pure Innocence images ~ she's called "CUPCAKE DAY!" oh my.. as soon as I laid eyes on her I had to have her. I placed my order the night of the release and she was at my house along with a bunch of other goodies within a few days.  I am in LOVE!!

Here is the inside of the card. I layered more papers and stamped the girl and the sentiment.

I had thought of paper piercing the girl's dress and after coloring her legs with my Copic markers, I had a little run .. so that confirmed I would paper pierce it. I used some new My Favorite Things papers on her dress.  Here are my images stamped, colored and cut out (dress).

Here's my girl after getting her dress all glued in place.. she's SOOOOO cute~!

I LOVE all the layers on this card.  It will be going postal tomorrow to the sweet granddaughter of a dear friend of mine. She is having some health issues.  Her birthday is Sunday ~ I hope she likes it.

Day 7. Distress Crayons "Sunshine"... lack of Mojo

Day 7. of #thedailymarker30day Coloring Challenge.

My Mojo is not with me tonight. I found out this morning that my stamping friend had passed away.  I will miss our chats so very much. She always cracked me up.

I attempted using some distress crayons.. didn't care for how it was going so I stopped.

My oldest son flies home tomorrow.  He has have had a blast during his visit. I don't even have to ask him, I know by what he's said about playing golf at Chamber's Bay, seeing the Pacific Ocean, catching that 5lb + Largemouth Bass plus others.

I'm heading to bed, it'll be a very early day to drive the near hour to the airport.

Tomorrow I am hoping to color up a new MFT Pure Innocence image that arrived on Saturday. I need to make a birthday card for a special lady.

thanks for looking ~

Day 3. Distress Inks "BEST OF THE WEST" card using MFT Wild Wild West stamp set

Day 3. of  #thedailymarker30day Coloring Challenge.  Today I used Distress Inks on the background of my card.  I pulled out a stamp set I bought a long time ago, but had yet to ink it up until today. The set is from My Favorite Things and called Wild Wild West.

Here are the supplies before I got started. When I started I didn't know that I was going to heat emboss the image, but decided to after stamping the image.  I stamped it twice with Versafine black and then once with VersaMark.

After inking up my watercolor paper piece, I went to stamp the image.  I wanted to show the piece before stamping.

After stamping the image with Versamark and covering it with Embossing Powder, I heated it up with my heat gun..  halfway through I stopped and took a picture..  heating up embossing powder is the coolest thing.

SUPPLIES:

card stock:  Black, Bristol Smooth (sentiment), Burnt Orange Shimmer card stock, Neenah White card stock (card base)
stamps:  My Favorite Things Wild Wild West
ink: Versafine, Versamark, Distress Inks:  Mustard Seed, Spiced  Marmalade, Fired Brick and Seedless Preserves
accessories: Scor-Buddy, MFT Star Die-namics, MFT  Border Die-namics (can't remember name), MFT Circle Stax, Distress Ink Tool, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool and Foam Tape

TDLLC ~ "HELLO love" card by WPlus9 stamps *w/MEASUREMENTS

Happy Thursday Everyone! I have a TupeloDesignsLLC ~ TDLLC Design Team card for you today.  Do you know that Tupelo Designs LLC offers FREE shipping in the United States and discounted rates to other countries?  How neat is that!! Their shipping is not only FREE, but it's also SUPER fast!!  I placed and order a few nights ago and it was on my doorstep today.

For my card today  I am using a sketch that I have used many times over the years. It is easy to do and I have included some step by step pictures on how to do it as well as the measurements for all the pieces.  You can make so many different cards using this sketch.   I made this one a "love" themed card.  I used some sentiment stamps from a wonderful WPlus9 set called Hand Lettered Hello. There are so many different sentiments to choose from in this set.  I could see this being a "go to" set for sure.

This card is one that is very easy to replicate ~ the most time consuming part is doing the banner, but after you get the hang of it, you can make lots of these cards.

I started by attaching the pattern papers to the black layers and then put the heart pattern layer piece onto the gingham piece.

I put the layered banner on the card front offsetting it to the left a little.

I put the Sentiment layer on and have foam tape behind it to give the card some dimension ~ I then put three black brads above the sentiment and then attached the card front to a white Neenah White card base and the card was done.

I had this sketch that was an Operation Write Home one that I really like ~ I thought I'd use it again.  I drew it out and wrote the measurements on it.

SUPPLIES:

card stock:  Neenah White, black
pattern paper: Authentique Smitten
stamps: WPlus9 Hand Lettered Hello
ink: Versafine Black
accessories:  Scor-Buddy, Hole Punch, Black Brads and Foam Tape
