SSSC204 "Butterfly Kisses & Dandelion Wishes" card

I haven't been feeling well since last week.. and this past weekend I think I spent more time in bed, then upright!

Tonight I really didn't want to spend laying in bed. so I thought I'd make something.    I pulled out this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #204 and got busy.

After I finished the card.. I put the two brads from the lower corner.. in the corners of the middle panel.. those corners looked bare and needed something.

here is the link to this week's SSSC204:

My card started out with a panel that I had stamped the bird from the MFT stamp set called Birds..  but the ink I stamped the bird in didn't look right,, so I grabbed some papers from the MME paper pad that I had used for the other pattern papers.

"I LOVE YOU" cards ~ two ways.

After making the "I Love To See You Smile" card earlier tonight..  I was flipping through more of the MME papers that I had and thought I'd make a quick card using some of it.

I made the card on the left first..  and then decided to flip the papers and add another layer and I think I like them both..  but think I need to add another layer to any future ones of #1 that I might make.

The papers are from The Sunny Side collection.. the sentiment is from MFT Airplane Greetings.

Let me know what you think..   thanks.

SSSC203 "I LOVE TO SEE YOU SMILE" card

A few days ago when I was doing some organizing of my dies.. I found that I had purchased this sweet bicycle die and had yet to use it.. not sure how I missed it because all the envelopes around it were all empty and the dies in the magnetic books where I store them..  oversight then but now it's cut some paper and I am glad that I found it and used it.

I used this week's SSSC203 sketch for this card:

Supplies:

card stock:  white, Real Red, Kraft
pattern paper: MME Sunny Side
stamps:  MFT All Smiles
ink:  Versafine Black
accessories: MFT Pierced Circle dies, Circle Stax, Memory Box Bicycle Die, Photo Corner Punch and Foam Tape

Property of Team Awesome cards

I made these two cards tonight using a past Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #201 sketch.

I have a bunch of these sports themed papers that I purchased from a local scrapbook store that was closing, and have been wanting to use some of it on cards for Operation Write Home.

I need to die cut a bunch of these jerseys and then I'll be ready to make the cards.. I did this with the MFT Typewriter and paper die last summer.. I just die cut one after another and when I felt I had done enough. I stopped and ended up with like 30 something typewriters and papers..  I need to do that again with some of the dies I have that I would love to make bunches of cards with.

Lot of 5 Christmas Cards ~ January

Sometime last week on the OWH Facebook page, I seen a post that was I believe posted by Jennifer..  mentioning about making Christmas cards each month of the year.  Two years ago I did a Christmas Card Challenge on SCS and did 10 a month.. it was a lot of fun.     Anyways.. I can't find the post about making the cards on the FB page anymore.. but I did make 5 cards.

This paper is from a My Mind's Eye Christmas pad.. I purchased maybe 6-8 of them on discount..  and today while at Michael's in Southern Pines/Aberdeen area.. I got one for .01 cents!!!!

The sentiment is from a MFT set called Clearly Sentimental about Christmas.   The Santa images and the enamel dots are all from MME.   I used Cherry Cobbler and Kraft card stock for the layers.

10 more Gus The Golfer cards.. and I'm calling it a night!

I made 10 more Gus the Golfer cards..  they are so much fun to make.

I was going to take the kids and drive to Greensboro in the morning..  but just realized that it's 11:49 pm ~ yikes.. not sure if I'll be up early to get headed north.

Gus the Golfer images.. and what I am going to make with them.

I found all these Gus The Golfer images in a basket on my desk.. and so I decided it was time to put them on some cards.  I have made LOTS of cards in the past using this Bugaboo stamps image and I have more images colored and on full sheets (see pic) and some that are half colored.     The circles that are embossed are ones leftover from when I had my Rotator Cuff surgery (10/10) and my husband had punched and embossed them for me because I couldn't do it.. or rather was afraid to do all that working using my right hand/arm so soon after surgery.. so he did it for me and he did a TON!!

So after digging around for a sketch that might work with this size image.. and not finding one.. I just laid down some stuff and went with it.. and this below is card #1 that I completed..  not sure how many more there are to make.. but there is a bunch! haha.    I'm going to go cut stuff and then have it ready to assemble.
What do you think??
