OWH VCMP Challenge #3 & Bonus Sketch.. Thanks So Much

The #3 (great number by the way) OWH VCMP Challenge is to make a card using snowflakes.. but not a Christmas card and using the layout on a Bonus Sketch for this week.

I used some of the beautiful light blue shimmery paper I got at Tuesday Morning last week.. along with some pattern paper from a My Mind's Eye paper pad.. and the sentiment is from a Hero Arts stamp set.

The #5 OWH VCMP Challenge is to make a "Western" themed card.

I used some retired Stampin' UP! stuff on this one.. but the sentiment is from a Hero Arts OWH set.

OWH VCMP Challenge #4 & 10... So Sweet Of You

The #4 OWH VCMP Challenge was called "Triple Time Stamping".. the #10 challenge was "Home Sweet Home".. the state flower of North Carolina is the Flowering Dogwood.

I used a Hero Arts Dogwood stamp to do this... pretty neat technique.

Some random cards I have made the past few days

This first card was so much fun to make.. I love all things "Red, White and Blue".. so
it was an easy color combination to match up this sentiment from StampersBest (use code: airbornewife to save 10% off your order). This sentiment is from an OWH fundraiser set called OWH My Hero. I finally used my MFT Die-namics Chevron Stripes die.. love it!!

This card uses the same everything as a card I made last month.. except I added ribbon and the button to it and didn't put the stars on this one.

Some super quick & easy cards I made using some pattern papers out of a paper stack. I used an MFT stamps and die set called Vertical Greetings.

.. You did it! ... a card that started out from a challenge

I seen the second OWH VCMP challenge.. and got busy making this card............ however I missed out on two things needed for the challenge.. the two pattern papers.

You were to use on your card:

1. image

2. pattern papers

3. three word sentiment

After coloring and putting the card together.. I realized what I had left off.. oops!!!

supplies:

card stock: white, black and cajun craze

Lots of cards!!! I Love You So Much

I had the house all to myself today. My two youngest were in school and my husband took our oldest daughter to the lake fishing in the boat. I turned on Roku and cranked up Pandora.. on the Bee Gees channel of course ~ my favorite!!

I got busy cutting some papers.... this time I grabbed a pack of some Stampin' UP! Designer Series Paper.. can't remember the name of it, it was on the clearance rack on the site, might still be. Not all the sheets in the pack are double sided. The light pink polka dotted strip is like card cover.. nice and thick, the heart piece is regular paper.

NOTE: my kraft paper looks terribly fuzzy on the edges.. I used a sanding block and trimmed them down.. I should've been using my Tonic trimmer to cut them.. but grabbed an old Fiskars cutter and the blade is long past due to be replaced.

I used the same layout as the last two days.. and then I turned it around .. then added some brads and I "really" liked the way they turned out.

Here are the measurements:

strip across top is a 1" strip with a 1 1/8" layer under it
the lower piece is 2" x 3" with a 2 1/8" x 3 1/8" layer under it.

The circles are based on what size sentiment you are using

Wishing you a Beautiful Day!!

This card.. and the other that I made of it were kinda "throw togethers" while playing with dies and stamps and markers... always fun to do that.

The die is a MFT Die-namics die, the sentiment is MFT, the flower is from a Hero Arts sympathy set, the bling was colored with a Bic Mark-It red marker. I put dimensionals under the die cut and that was it.. some more super quick cards.

You Make Me Smile... set of cards

I made six of these cards today. I used the same layout/sketch as the cards I made last night.

This is how I had things ready before I assembled them all together.. I punched, cut and stamped all that I needed and then got busy putting them together. The butterflies ended up being punched out of some other papers.. I didn't realize I had put the strips on the wrong side in the photo.. and when flipped over it was the same as the butterflies.. oops! so I punched them out of another piece of pattern paper.

These are super easy to make. Here are the measurements:

strip across top is a 1" strip with a 1 1/8" layer under it
the lower piece is 2" x 3" with a 2 1/8" x 3 1/8" layer under it.

The circles are based on what size sentiment you are using.. I made a card this morning that was like the ones yesterday.. I used an oval on it because the sentiment I was using was a tad wider then these. I didn't photograph it because it went right in the envelope to be mailed out.
