For my card I used a new to me stamp company called ~ Sunny Studio ~ I used the
Sunny Sentiments stamp set and coordinating
Sunny Sentiments Dies. What fun these are. The stamps stamped beautifully right out of the packaging and the dies cut like butter ~ don't you love it when that happens?
I used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch #445:
MOJO445 I made my card into a regular A2 size card so it was easy for mailing. This could easily be made into a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" square card to mail in a regular envelope as well.
When I started my card I planned on making it an upright layout.. but then changed my mind. I had the black piece already cut to 4 1/4" x 1 7/8", so I cut it in half and then cut the piece that I had cut 1 3/4" by.. not sure, but I hadn't cut it down to size yet. I adhered the blue layer onto the black pieces. I then put the card base on my Scor-Buddy and used my
Tim Holtz Ruler to make sure I had them straight. After putting the top layers on top of these no one will know that they don't go all the way across the card.
When it got to doing the grass I used the die from the set. I die-cut a piece and then used the reverse side of the cutting and made a layer and then cut another. I layered them on top of each other. You could easily do only one or two instead of three.
