single layer... 'LOVE YOU MUCH" cards for OWH

I thought I would make some more "love" themed cards to send to Operation Write Home.

I have this Cuttlebug embossing folder and it was so easy to emboss the fronts of the cards, then attach this scalloped circle layer with a sentiment from a retired Stampin' UP! stamp set called Well Scripted. The white bases are made from some super sturdy card stock that I bought a week or so at a store here locally called xPedx.. that place is awesome.

thanks for looking ~

have a great airborne day!

After you mentioned the great deals you found at xPedx I did a search and found a couple of them about an hour from me. I was so excited b/c I live in the boonies and seldom find cool stores that close to me. I hope to check one of them out when I go into the city.

I'd love to do something beautiful like this, but as you mentioned, you have to have great cardstock. I never seem to find any super thick cardstock!

Gail.. I hope you find some deals at your xPedx too. Kathryn.. check local paper/print shops, they'll probably have some good card stock. I was surprised how thick this stuff is and it was under $9 for a big ream of it. ~ Pam

beautiful - if I want heavy white cardstock - I usually use water color paper - I can find that locally - beautiful card - sure to make someone's heart flutter.

thanks for your support of OWH
