some birthday cards I just finished...

I started these last night.. But was feeling bad about the day we had with the storms and tornadoes.
I was going to start on a card using the new sketch on the OWH stars & stamps site.. But seen these laying on my desk so I thought I'd finish them up. We have no internet, the storms killed my modem, TWC will be here in the morning. I hope everybody has a blessed day. The first picture is of the three bins full of cards I have made to send to OWH. I'm uploading using my phone so I hope this all goes through. Hugs.

UPDATE: I have internet now and am replacing photos I took with my cell phone.

I seen this layout in an old Stamp It magazine and thought I'd use it to make some cards.

I am on my way to bed. Time Warner Cable will be here in the morning. The storms yesterday took out my modem and internet. Happy day ahead.

really bad storms today

I'm posting from my phone.. Terrible day of storms around here today. Many left homeless. Please say a prayer for those affected by the storms.

Getting ready to make a bunch more "HERO" cards

First thing I did when I woke up this morning is to check the weather.. storms, some strong, chance of hail or tornados.. doesn't that sound like something you wanna hear when you wake up in the morning??? NOT!!

I came upstairs and thought I'd make some Birthday cards because I found some pretty neat birthday paper in a stack yesterday and wanted to use it.. but then I seen a sheet of that BDU pattern paper laying there and decided to print more of the digi sayings off... and I just went to get the link for you to get the digi and seen that Sandy had posted it on the OWH S&S site.. with some cards as ideas that I had made yesterday... wow, that's way cool.. who cares about the bad weather report now!!!!

Click on that and it will take you to the OWH site.. click on the digi and then right click to save it to a folder on your computer.. I have a folder titled DIGI PRINTS so I know where to find them when I need them.
Go and get your digi so you too can make some Hero Mail to send to Operation Write Home.
I'm off to make a bunch more of these fun cards... then I'll get to the birthday cards!!

I had sent a message to the OWH shipper Dixie earlier and had said I was going to go get my fingers dirty with ink... she said she was too! When I sat down to my desk, I seen the rest of the digis I had printed off at the same time as I did the one I used on the last card.. and thought I'd just use them and make some more cards. Earlier in the day I had pulled out this old BDU pattern paper, hoping to use it up.. and so it was perfect to put on these cards. I wish I had a color to make a layer under the BDU pattern paper, but the only thing I have close I used it all up on the Army Scrapbook I recently made... I still like the way they turned out. Hooah!

I seen a sketch layout on the Sketch For You To Try site and thought I'd give it a try. I had already printed out and colored the image that is a FREE digi stamp from the Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps site. ... a cupcake Birthday card for Dixie....

I mailed out a birthday card yesterday.. and it was received today! wow, that was fast. The card went to the Operation Write Home East Coast Shipper ~ Dixie. She is such a sweetie.. God Bless her for all that she does.

I hadn't posted the card, because I wanted to make sure that she got it first. Her Birthday is on Friday.. I hope you have a great Birthday Dixie.

I made something last night.... but....

I made a card last night.. a nice big square one.. but I can't post the pictures just yet because I put it in the mail today and hopefully the person receiving it will get it either tomorrow or Friday.. then I can post it. I love square cards and don't make them enough. Happy Day!
