Snow Globe Christmas card using some gifted stamps

I made this Snow Globe Christmas card using some "new to me" stamps that arrived in the mail today (thank you to my stamp angel) ~ They are by Lizzie Anne Designs.

The card base is Stampin' UP! Cherry Cobbler, scallop circle is Handsome Hunter. Ribbon is from Stampin' UP!

This is a tent topper card.. super easy to make!

a Christmas card using some Tim Holtz stamps and embossing folders

I started on this tag earlier this morning.. and just now finished up the card.. I head to leave it to do other things.

I used a Tim Holtz Santa stamp and one of his embossing folders on the Crushed Curry layer. The card base is Cherry Cobbler. I inked everything with some Wild Honey and Black ink. The lace on the bottom of the tag is something I got at a local craft store today.. 3 yards for $1.00.. I got three different ones.. I stapled that onto the tag and then tied some Stampin' UP! Riding Hood Red ribbon around it and at the top.. I had been on a quest to find some of that ribbon and a good stamping friend Gail sent me a roll and a half.. thank you Gail.

Off to make some other Christmas cards with some stamps I was gifted today from a Stamp Angel.

I decided to make a card.. SC325 "... the beauty"

It's a few minutes until midnight.. no more eat or drink for me for the next who knows how many hours... I was getting ready to head downstairs a little bit ago when I got an email about the new sketch challenge on SCS.. so I thought I'd go ahead and make a card.. I was itching to do so anyways.

Here's my card:

the only stamping going on today is backs of cards...

The only stamping I'll be doing today is on the backs of cards.. getting them ready to send to the east coast shipper for Operation Write Home.

I spent a good portion of the day today at the hospital getting all my Pre-Op stuff done for my surgical procedure tomorrow. Hopefully I'll feel good afterwards.. I mean days afterwards, and can get some more cards made.

1 hr 26 minutes later... 10 cards are complete ~ Yeah!!

I was all excited about making these and then midways through, I realized that they wouldn't fit in the envelope with a flap out, so I was a bit bummed. I really like the way they turned out and am going to see if I can fit the envelope and the card in a clear envelope and send them that way.. we'll see if I can do that.

I have cut everything out.. and am ready to put together 10 of the Mother's Day easel cards. I am using up all the pink card stock that I have (in this color).. but will see if I have another pink that will work, and I can make more.

"Mother's Day" easel card with large damask sticker

I must be the last person in the crafting world to try my hand at an easel card.
A Mother's Day card I made a while back, and sent in to Operation Write Home, was featured on their Facebook page this morning.. what a surprise to see that this morning... since I had the big Damask stickers on my mind, I thought I'd try my hand at making one of these types cards. Ignore the mess on my desk!
There is a need for more Mother's Day cards and I need to whip some up quickly to beat the deadline of March 31st. I am having a procedure on the 23rd and not sure how I'll feel right afterwards.. so I gotta get busy.

I was gifted some stamps last week and want to use the images on some cards, so I can stamp those images and use Mother's Day sentiments on them.

some cards I made today for the OWH Challenges

I made these three cards this morning.. then me and my girls went to lunch, stopped in a couple of stores and headed to the commissary to do some grocery shopping.. home, took Jackson to his party, home fixed dinner, trying to eat now.. and type!

The first two were a challenge to make a thank you card from the colors in your state flag.. since I would rather consider Missouri my state over North Carolina.. I went with the colors in the Missouri flag.

the last card was based on an inspirational photo that was a black lined flower collage with pops of color.. so I inked up my Stampin' UP! Floral background stamp and colored in the flowers/leaves with Copic markers.

..... is there a cure for this???

Earlier tonight after dropping my kiddos off at their school for a dance, me and Heather wandered over to the new Walmart. We got some stuff to make some salads and then walked back to the housewares where a set of Tri-Clad Tramontina cookware that was highly recommended by America's Test Kitchen, was still sitting on the shelf. Walmart is the only place that sells the configuration that they recommended and I've had my eye on the set, but wasn't feeling the $149.99 price tag. Today however I put it in the cart and thought I'd scan it because I noticed that they had recently reset their modular.. and it scanned $109. now that's a deal!

While walking around some more, I seen a set of three plastic bins on clearance for $3.00, so I bought one set.. I thought I'd put my embossing folders in it because the box I have them in, they had outgrown it.

I have sat here for the last half or or so scrolling through the PC & Sizzix websites getting all the names for the folders and writing the name on each of the folders. The one bin is packed full.
How in the world did I ever accumulate that many embossing folders.. and the many is many, but not number assigned because I'm not counting.. I just know that there are some in that bin that have never been ran through the embossing folder, so that needs to change.

anyways.. I wondered of others had accumulations of craft items and when you pull them all out and put in one place.... you go wow!

Oh.. and to top it off.. I still have a small box full of the smaller embossing folders.. goodness sakes!
