"Hello.... i love you" card

I bought some Unity stamps from a lady on SCS and they arrived today.. I thought I'd make a card and was drawn to making a "love" card. I seen the birthday card on the right side of page on the Paper Crafter's World site and used that idea for this card. This is what I ended up with.

OWH "USA... pride is...." pinwheel card

I thought I'd make another pinwheel card.. I decided to round the corners on two sides of each of the squares.. and I like this pinwheel so much better. There is a tutorial on the OWH Stars & Stamps site.. TUTORIAL

"He who dwells in the shelter of THE MOST HIGH".. card

I was cleaning up a little and seen one of the Basic Grey paper pads that was gifted to me last week and the one sitting on the top was the Stella Ruby.

I have a stack of new packs of Crushed Curry card stock sitting next to it and thought I'd put them together.

I added Rose Red as a layer as well. The scripture stamp is from Our Daily Bread Scripture Collection 2.

The ribbon, gold cord and Rose Red brads are all from Stampin' UP!.

Pinwheel "THANK YOU" card to send to OWH

On the Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps site this week there was a tutorial for a Pinwheel. I thought I'd try making one and this is the end result. It's a throw-together card because I was just grabbing stuff that was laying on my desk.. I have a stack of the pieces with the stars on them, leftover from the 48 cards I made last week... I need to find something to use them on, so they'll be off my desk. I keep them sitting there so I don't forget about them.

SC327 & OWH "DAD" Father's Day card

I used the sketch challenge from SCS for this card.. and the Father's Day MidWeek Throwdown from the OWH Stars & Stamps site.



Since I already had a card base of Stampin' UP! Cherry Cobbler left from the last card I made.. I used it, layered it with Basic Black, White and some Brushed Silver. The truck image is from a retired Stampin' UP! set Classic Pickups.
I embossed the one layer with a diamond print embossing folder. For the background I stamped the truck after stamping off once. The "Dad" is from a Lizzie Anne Designs stamp set.

my first ever scrapbook... for my good friend Washington

I met Washington when she was a Drill Sergeant in my husband's Basic Training company when he was the First Sergeant.

Last year she was deployed to Iraq and then Afghanistan. While she was in Iraq she re-enlisted and had shared a bunch of photos. I saved them all and had them printed off.

I had never made a scrapbook.. in fact, I used to joke that maybe I was a scrapbooker since I had all the "stuff".. ha ha... but I wanted to make something special for her.

I started on this book months ago.. then had a surgery and then my physical therapy and now feel so much better so I got back to working on the book.. .especially since my hubby was going to be going to Ft. Drum, NY for a few days and could hand deliver it to her.

I asked her if I could share the pictures of the pages in the book. I used stickers, stamps, punches and more to put this together.. and she loves it.

a couple more gatefold cards... Thanks a Bunch and Thinking of you

I made these two cards last night for a Gatefold card Challenge... they are super easy to make.

You can use any device that you have to score your card stock. Start with a piece that is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". Score at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8". The front layer pieces measure 1 7/8" x 5 1/4".. you can alter those measurements to your liking.
