I used the same sketch from this weeks challenge on the Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps site and made a dozen of these cards. They are bright and cheery and perfect for a deployed service member to send home to a loved one that they are thinking about.

I cut, stamped and punched everything that I needed for the cards and then put them together.

this is all of them completed...

..............thinking of you MAKES ME SMILE. MWT card

The Midweek Throwdown Challenge on Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps site this week is "water"... I bought this lighthouse stamp in St. Ignace, MI when we were in the Upper Peninsula earlier this month. I thought I'd use it on a card for the challenge.

"Proud to be an AMERICAN" Patriotic card...

I thought I'd make another card using some of the elements from the WeRMemoryKeepers Yankee Doodle paper pad that I used on the other card.. and ended up with this. Quick & Easy... love the red, white and blue.

OWH Sketch #80 "Bless the USA" Patriotic card

When I was in TN at my parents house while we were on leave.. my mom and I went to an awesome stamp store in Dover. I picked up a big pad of papers and such from We R Memory Keepers that is called Yankee Doodles.. all Red, White and Blue.. my favorite colors!!

When I seen the sketch layout on the Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps site.. I immediately grabbed the paper pad and used elements from it for this card.

Here's the layout I used:

... just completed the set of 9 cards.. "Where you are..."

I just completed 8 more of these cards to make a set of 9 to send to Operation Write Home. I would stay up and stamp some more.. however it's 11:40 and tomorrow the NASCAR race comes on here at 11 am.. is that crazy? no sleeping in for me. We are fixing Chicken Wings, some (as my hubby calls it) famous Cole Slaw, Deviled Eggs and I might bake something as well.. hoping that Jimmie Johnson or Kyle Bush is the winner tomorrow.

Happy Sunday ahead for everybody ~ blessings.

talk about bright!!!!... Where you are.. I want to be

I am not sure why I chose the bright yellow and green paper.. but I did. I bought this Unity Stamp Co. Itty Bitty stamp set at a stamp store I found here in El Paso last week and I really enjoyed my visit there and cannot wait to go back.

I thought this set would make some great "missing you" cards to send to Operation Write Home to send to deployed military to send home to their families.

I cut all the papers to make either 9 or 10 cards.. but I am not sure that I have enough left of the paper to paper piece the roof of the bird house, so I might just color it in with markers.

12 "Snowflakes fall from Heaven...." Christmas cards

Last night after making the Christmas card in the previous post, I remembered that I had bought some paper that went along with the Unity stamp set that I used, so I pulled it out and cut the piece down so that I could make a dozen cards from the one sheet.

Still using the same sketch layout from OWH S&S... I put these together.
*I ended up not using the StazOn, but rather the Memento brown ink instead.

Greetings from Texas... and a Christmas card

We are finally getting settled in. Our household goods were delivered on Tuesday and we worked until 11 pm that night unpacked stuff.. then worked at it again the next day. Thursday was our oldest daughters birthday and so I didn't do any work on unpacking stamp stuff until late last night... until I did something to my back.. off to bed because of the pain. I woke up this morning still hurting so I put a patch on that took away much of the pain and discomfort so I could finish unpacking the choice boxes I picked to bring in the house. I have probably 25+ boxes in the garage, but do not have room for them. I knew coming here that I wouldn't have a lot of room so I packed boxes with this in mind.

We have a huge laundry room that has a shelf in it.. I put a small cubbie bookshelf on top of that shelf with all my die cutting machines.. in the pantry off of the laundry room it was big enough for my big ole' desk and the one side of the room is nothing but shelves. I have all that I need to make cards and am so happy to have got to put ink to paper and paper together to make the end product of a card.

Here is a Christmas card I made using a Unity stamp set that I picked up at a stamp store in Dover, TN.. fun store to visit if you are in the area.

I used the Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge #79 layout for this card.
