They are the My Favorite Things Snow Drifts Horizontal and Vertical Cover-Up Die-namics. What fun I had using the dies to make these two cards. I also have extra papers to make three more cards.
On my first card I die cut a sheet of pattern paper and inlaid the papers into the black frame. I stamped the sentiment from the My Favorite Things Joyous Christmas stamp set and die cut it using an My Favorite Things Fishtail Flag dies ~ hard to see since I put the snowflake above the end of it.. the top layer is layered onto a white piece of cards stock and onto a Kraft card base. The button on the snowflakes is one that I had received in one of my orders from TupeloDesignsLLC.
I have recently stamped and colored a bunch of the My Favorite Things Pure Innocence images. This sweet girl is one of them. I die cut a piece of vellum using the My Favorite Things Pierced Circle Stax dies and put it behind the girl.
These are the dies I used for the cards today. Just imagine the fun you can have making quick and background for your cards. You can use the dies to die cut out shapes like I did, or use them to emboss a background ~ I'll try that soon! My Favorite Things Snow Drifts VERTICAL and HORIZONTAL.
I used some Snowflake dies from my stash that I cut out the shapes using some glitter papers, also from my stash. I glued them together and used a button from one of my packages from TupeloDesignsLLC. I threaded some hemp cord through the button and snowflakes after I pierced some holes through the button and tied a bow.
I used two pieces of pattern paper from a 6 x 6 paper pad. I cut the pieces down to 4 1/4 wide. I cut them both at the same time and they cut out beautifully. Saves time doing them both together.
I covered a piece of card stock that I cut just a little smaller than the die itself with Sticky tape and adhered it to the die. I only did this for the one card, the rest I used liquid glue instead on the outer piece of the die and the inserts. I found it a little easier, but did want to share that I used this method as well.
These are the papers that are left that can be used on more cards.
This past week I spent time watching TV and coloring in these My Favorite Things images. I colored in some other stamp sets that I will be using on cards soon.
Blog Giveaway Winner is ROBIN HOFF!! Congratulations!! I will be emailing you. I will do another giveaway next week.
