Today is Day 1 of #thedailymarker30day Coloring Challenge!! Yeah!! I hope I can do it this time.. I'm going to try really hard, but am worrying about this upcoming week because my son and a good friend are both flying in and will be here for the whole weekend. I'll try and sneak away while the guys talk golf, hunting and fishing!
It's funny that my Day 1 card happens to use the same coloring as my Day 1 card did from the last challenge ~ haha~! I inked up a watercolor paper panel with some Distress Inks, then spritzed it with water ~ what a fun background that takes little to no effort.. the water and distress inks do all the work for you.
I started my card by inking up a piece of Watercolor paper with some Distress Inks. I used them in this order: Stormy Sky, Salty Ocean and then Blueprint Sketch. Afterwards I spritzed it with water and laid a paper towel on it to dab up the excess water. I think it's such a cool effect and so easy.
I then stamped the birds with Versafine Black ink and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens ~ they are SO much fun to use ~ such pretty colors!
I used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #455: MOJO455 I scribbled the measurements on the print out of the sketch.
These are all the goodies that I used for my card: ~ Supply list below:

ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card Pam, so bright and vibrant! I love making backgrounds with distress inks and water spritz too, it makes such a fun and easy background. Love the Mojo sketch as well. Enjoy your visit with you son!!! Hugs, Brenda
