Today I did something that I hadn't done in an extremely long time... I bought a 12 x 12 paper pad.. yikes! I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY.. you get the idea.. DO NOT need any more paper.. at all!!.. ever!! ever, ever!!! but sure enough, I couldn't resist the urge and bought one. It's from Hobby Lobby, part of their Paper Studios pads and is called Cosmic Whammy.
When I sat down earlier to make a card using this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #213.. I for sure wanted to cut into this paper and make a card.. and this is what I came up with. ((pic above))
I actually had punched out another part of the sheet of paper that this funny character came from.. it had two aliens on it.. but I was in a hurry trying to use a black marker on the edges.. and bam! I got black marker on the front.. so I tossed it aside and punched out something else. That was the first boo boo on the card..... then after getting everything all ready to put together.. I went ahead and adhered the layers with the embossed polka dotted top layer on the pattern piece.. and had ink on my finger, didn't realize it and smeared it on the paper.. yikes! then I grabbed a paper towel.. that has been used and had ink on it... tried wiping it and smeared it more.. I took a knife and ran it under the card stock to pull the layers up and started over.
here's my boo boo #2 on this card.
This is the fun sketch I used: SSSC213
NOTE: I will try and do a post with measurements and pictures if you like.. just let me know.

I would love the measurements. I appreciate it when you do share them and it is so thoughtful of you to share them. I also love the pad of paper. I too bought this pad several months ago knowing it would be a fun pad for OWH and boy cards.
ReplyDeleteADORABLE!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are ALWAYS amazing! I truly, truly love them. I hear you on the paper "problem". We seem to ALL have that problem at one time or another. The paper just screams at us and the only way to relieve the pain is to take it home... :)
