Here is the sketch:

"Hope Your Day is Fabulous"
Two days ago I cut a bunch of shimmery paper and set out to make some cards.. I had seen a card on SCS and I knew that I wanted to so something similar.. but after inking and embossing these three.. I gave up. I realized why I didn't do much heat embossing.. I dislike all the powdery stuff that gets everywhere.
My son had came in and sat down in the chair beside me and I noticed a container sitting under a work table that had distress paints in it.. so he got the one with the white ink and I grabbed my Hero Arts Delicate Blossoms stamp set and I made 58 "Mom" cards.
When I finished up the other cards.. I decided to finish these up too.. I added some white lines on two of them.. so brads and ribbon on one. I do like the way they turned out.. so I need to figure out a way to do some heat embossing without getting stuff everywhere.
Supplies used:
stamps: Stampin' UP! Fifth Avenue Floral, PaperTrey Ink Signature Greetings
ink: Versamark, Stazon Black
card stock: White, Black, Shimmery paper from the Paper Factory
accessories: 3/8" black satin ribbon, black mini brads, white embossing powder, heat gun, hole punch, white gel pen

shimmery cards for... *~ MOM ~*
I worked on these cards last night and the night before.. and I "LOVE" how they turned out. The paper is really shimmery and oohhhhh sooo pretty in person. My favorite color combo is the red, I really like the purple as well.
**oops.. I just noticed that I missed putting a purple card in the picture above.. but put two orange cards in there... the purple ones are sooooo pretty too.
I ended up with 55 cards in all and have lots more of the shimmery paper, so I think I will make some more sometime soon.. changing up the sentiment. I used up every mini black brad I had, along with all the flush black brads as well.. time to restock! I have owned the StazOn White ink pad w/refill for many years.. and have never used it until two days ago.. I am kicking myself for not using it before now,,, that stuff is great, stamps beautifully and dries very quickly.
Supplies used:
stamps: Hero Arts Delicate Blossoms, Verve Because of You (sentiment)
ink: Stazon White (this stuff is AWESOME!!)
card stock: White #100 cover, Shimmery paper from The Paper Factory (scored at a Tuesday Morning a while back in all sorts of colors), Recollections Black
accessories: Oval and Scallop Oval punches, 5/8 White Satin Ribbon (used entire roll.. oh my!), 3/8" Black ribbon on the cards that were left when the white ran out, mini black and white brads, glue dot and Dimensionals!!!

MFTWSC107 "WHEE"! Boy and Girl
I made two cards this week for the MFTWSC107. I used some new Die-namics that I recently purchased and had yet to use.
Here's the cards:
Here's the sketch I used... I put the sentiment on the boy card on the right because of all the open space, it looked better on that side. Here's the link to the CHALLENGE

A couple of cards I made for challenges.. but never got posted
"HEY SASSY PANTS"
This is a card I made for the MFT Guest Designer Challenge,,, however I got so busy that I never got around to posting it during the challenge time frame. I used MFT stamps, dies and hemp. I can't remember the pattern paper, the large brads are from Michael's.
Here is the sketch I used.
"I MISS YOU"
I made this card using an OWH Sketch Challenge.. I made it around the same time as the card above, but never got around to posting it. "Miss You" cards are really going to be needed during the next year.

Love Cards... Handling it on the Homefront
We had a "Handling it on the Homefront" get together last week and before the event I made a bunch of "LOVE" cards to take with me. After all the talking, I passed around two baskets full of cards for the ladies to take one of so that they could write a note of love/encouragement to stick in their soldiers bag when they leave. These are some of the pictures I took during the process. I can't remember how many I made, but I am thinking it was over 40.
The cards are all basically the same, just different pattern papers. I used 12x12 pattern paper that I cut down for these.
Here are the measurements:
PATTERN PAPER: 3 1/4" X 4 1/2"
WHITE LAYER: 3 3/8" X 4 5/8"
BLACK LAYER: 3 1/2" X 4 3/4"
RED LAYER: 4" X 5 1/4"
The card base is kraft paper and I is cut 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" then folded in half to make an A2 size card.
I punched out hearts and layered them onto a scallop heart. The red hearts I punched out of the red layer,, I could put my punch in far enough to punch it out and use the red layer without any punched out area showing. The strips for the sentiment were cut at I believe 1" or maybe a little smaller.. based on your sentiment. The sentiment I used is from an Hero Arts~Operation Write Home set. After stamping the sentiment, I punched the ends to make the banner.

36 "From the Heart" cards from one MME paper pad
I made all of these cards using pattern paper from one My Mind's Eye paper pad "Love Me"... they were super easy to make.
Measurements for cards:
base is cream and is an A2 size
Red layer 5 1/4" x 4"
Cream layer 4 3/4" x 3 1/2"
Red layer 4 1/8" x 3 1/8"
pattern paper 4" x 3"
Red heart punched out using Stampin' UP! heart punch
Cream piece punched using Modern Label Punch and
stamped with sentiment from MFT Flopsey Bunch of Hearts set
small rhinestone brad added to upper right corner of heart.
I put dimensionals on the back of the sentiment strip and heart, but not where brad went.. I attached heart and sentiment to card top layers and then pierced a hole to put the brad through.. that way it is not sticking up so much. I then attached all the layers on top of card base.
Below is the empty paper pad and the pieces I have left over.. these pieces are mostly all 2" x 6" .. there are some that are smaller, but plenty big enough to make a bunch more cards.
The cards fill up a basket.. I keep cards as I make them in a small basket like this, then more it to a larger bin when I am finished with a batch. To the left of the cards is the scraps inside what used to be the paper pad.

69+ cards from one 6x6 MME paper pad
Not too long ago there was a post on the Operation Write Home site about using a 6 x 6 paper pad to make a bunch of cards.
I wanted to see how many cards I could get out of a 6 x 6 paper pad. I used My Mind's Eye Breeze and ended using everything in the pad less a small bit that is shown in the last image. I ended up with 69 cards.. I bet I have enough scraps to make at least 2-4 more cards.
Measurements for the cards:
top left and top right use the same size pattern paper, the banner strip was punched at the end using a Stampin' UP! Photo Corners punch, you can use a square punch or just cut with scissors. The box for the saying was based on the saying itself. Card base is an A2 card, I used gray card stock for the base, then a black layer that is 5 3/8" x 4 1/8", then a white layer that is 5 1/4" x 4". The layer behind the banner strip is 2" the banner strip is 1 3/4". I added two brads on one and three on the others, as well as a punched out heart.
bottom left: card base is black A2 size. Yellow layer is 4" x 5 1/4". Black layer 3 1/2" x 4 3/4". White layer is 3 3/8" x 4 5/8". Black layer (under pattern piece) 4 3/8" x 2 7/8". Pattern piece 2 3/4" x 4". I stamped a saying on white and punched it out, then punched out a circle in black to layer it on. I added two brads and a punched out heart.
bottom middle and right (using colors on middle card to describe/cards the same except layer on banner, and red bottom layer on card on right): black card base A2 size. Yellow layer 3 1/2" x 4 3/4". (Red layer on right card is 3 5/8" x 4 7/8") Black layer 3" x 4 5/8". Pattern piece 2 7/8" x 4 1/4". "LOVE" strip is 1" x 3 1/2". Banner is 1" strip.. I punch the end and then cut it to 4". The card in the middle, I cut a yellow layer to the banner and it measures 3/4". It is punched at the end and then cut at 3 5/8". I added some brads and a punched out heart.
This is the empty paper pad and what's left is in that snack size ziploc bag.
My next post with be more cards I made from another paper pad.

MFTWSC101 Hello, Sunshine
I made this card two or three weeks ago. I made it on a Monday night knowing that to enter it in the
MFTWSC I had to get it posted the next morning.. well, I came home from taking the kids to the bus stop that morning and fell asleep.. oops! I then forgot about it until the next day.
I was a lucky winner in one of the MFTSWC's recently, and I ordered this sun die in the order I placed using the prize. I had purchased the stamp set a while back and always wanted the sun die, but kept forgetting to order it.
Here is the sketch I used:
Supplies:
stamps: MFT Hello, Sunshine
card stock: Neenah Cayon Brown #100 cover, white, MME Fine & Dandy pattern paper
ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Asst. Copic Markers
accessories: MFT Die-namics Sun, Sentiment tab and Rectangle Stax dies, paper piercer, brads and Dimensionals!!!

MFTWSC104 Sending Well Wishes
We spent Christmas at my parents house in TN and my mom and I ventured to a town not too far away to a neat scrapbook store that carries lots of stamping stuff.. yeah! I purchased this sweet Pure Innocence stamp.. along with some other goodies that I just couldn't live without.. really, I couldn't!!
This card took me hours.. literally hours to finish. It started out as a regular A2 size card and then after putting all the layers together, I realized that the parts wouldn't fit nicely on that size card, so I went to making it a square card. I had to take apart the yellow layer and then cut another piece to make it look like a whole layer, thanks to the scallop piece to cover up the seam. the flowered panel, I just cut in half and it worked. After I had all the parts ready, I decided to do some sewing.. then after putting it all together, my husband said what a nice card it was and I said "thanks, but it needs a flower".. so I die-cut a flower to put on it and then I was happy. I made this card tonight using this week's MFTWSC104 layout.
Here's the sketch I used for the card:
stamps: MFT Better Get Better
card stock: Neenah Cayon Brown #100 cover, White, Cosmo Cricket Tea For Two pattern paper
ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Asst. Copic markers
accessories: EK Success border punch, paper piercer, brads, sewing machine, button, hemp cord, MFT Die-namics Layered Rose, Mix & Match Banners, Oval Stax, Sentiment Strips and Dimensionals!!!
