This week's sketch on the OWH Blog site and Stars & Stamps blog is a fun one. When I was asked if I would make a card sample.. I wasn't sure what I was goign to do with it, then I received a Stampin' UP! order that included an adorable new Birthday set and it was "stamp on!".
Here is the sketch layout I used:
The first card I made uses the birthday set I mentioned. It's called "A Cherry On Top" it's from Stampin' UP and is a new hostess set. The banner was cut out using a new banner die from Stampin' UP! as well:
I stamped the cake topper on card stock vellum and embossed it with clear embossing powder. The cake plate is embossed too. The green ribbon, which is a new ribbon from Stampin' UP! in a color that is sure to be one of my favorites, Gumball Green.
The second card I made uses a sentiment from one of the Hero Arts OWH sets. I bought some Basic Grey paper stacks from Tuesday Morning a few weeks ago.. while flipping through it I see the paper with all the buildings on it and thought to myself that I would use it on a card with this sentiment.. so when I seen the sketch, I realized it was time to put the two together. The clouds are a Memory Box die:
As this posts.. I have 11 days and a wake-up call here in Texas.. I have so many of the $1.00 stamp sets, some others and lots of ribbon. I have toted this stuff around for the last three moves and I've decided to share these with others. There are 60 different stamp sets ~~~ most all are brand new, never inked.. some have been used maybe once ~~~ and lots of ribbon. I will sort all this into 10 groups so there will be 10 WINNERS!!! I will run this through Tuesday at noon MST.. then I will draw 10 names and contact those whose name was drawn. If you are a winner.. please reply back as soon as possible, so I can get your package mailed out to you pronto.
To get your name into the drawing.. please post a comment below with your email address.. you can spell it out like... lucky stampers at gmail dot com
If I find some more goodies to share.. I'll come back and revise this post to reflect the new number of giveaways.... Remember this will run through Tuesday June 5th at noon MST.
Good luck to everybody.
NOTE: I have the crazy wacky word verification turned off.. I do moderate comments ~ only to delete the ones where someone on the web seems to think I need to know where the "hottest" sites are.. haha.. all others are posted and usually right away.
thanks for looking ~
have a great airborne day!
God Bless All Our Military.. each and every one of them
Love your cards and the paper you used. I'll have to visit Tuesday Morning. Thanks for sharing and good luck with your move.
ReplyDeleteAs always, I'm in awe of the detail you put into your cards! I LOVE the bright birthday colors, but it's what you did with the vellum that makes it amazing!
ReplyDeleteI saw that BasicGray paper and liked it, but couldn't figure out what to use it for. And I even have that stamp set! You have me wishing I'd bought it. (Like I need any more paper, lol.)
While deep in my book deadline cave, I missed you were moving! Where are you going? Hope it all goes smoothly!!! We moved our three rescued dogs 3,000 miles across ten states in nine days in a motorhome last May and I swore I'm never moving again!
Wonderful cards made using this sketch.

ReplyDeleteWow, what great samples, Pam! I especially like the clouds added to the houses paper--gives an instant higher perspective!
ReplyDeleteI am working on this sketch too, and trying my hand on coming up with Club Scrap-style "Assembly Line" directions for making 4 cards out of 4 sheets of cardstock. (While you're cutting for one card, might as well make foundations for a few extras!) If my design works, I'll put it in the comments on the Sketch.
Love all your work...
