StampersBest ~ Chevelle... I "heart" my DAD card
I started this card using the layout for this week's OWH Stars & Stamps Blog Sketch Challenge #122... the image I chose is one that I got last week from StampersBest. It is the Chevelle with Chrome Nameplate stamp (*I actually cut my stamp apart and didn't use the nameplate on the outside of the card. I am going to stamp it on the inside on the panel opposite the one where a greeting/note will be written). NOTE* use code: airbornewife at checkout to save 10% on your order.
After starting my card.. I realized that I wasn't going to be able to put the card together as the sketch was.. so I improvised and turned some things around.
Here is the OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch #122:
I stamped a bunch of the Chevelle image.. I'm going to color them in so I have them ready when I go to put some more cards together, they'll be ready to go.
used on this card:
card stock: black, white, Real Red
ink: black, asst. copic markers
stamps: StampersBest Chevelle and Chrome Nameplate stamp, Hero Arts: I "heart" my DAD
accessories: diamond embossing folder, paper piercer, black brads, punch for banner ends and Dimensionals!!!
thanks for looking ~
have a great airborne day!
God Bless All Our Military.. each and every one of them
Very nice. I jumps right off the page at me.
ReplyDeleteI just got this stamp. DH is a drag racer and used to have a Chevelle. (He races a Vega now). Thought I would use it for his Father's Day Card. Love what you did with the stamp!
ReplyDeleteLove the retro look to this car!...what a great layout too. Perfect masculine card!

As usual, every detail, right down to the black brads, is perfection. The color choice is super too! It's so easy to think earth tones for a guy card, but this one really pops and is great fun!
ReplyDeleteAwesome card, Pam! Love the way you flipped the sketch on it's side. Thanks for joining us in this week's OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge!
ReplyDeleteI love this image!! Your card is going to be a hit! My brother is having his 1966 Chevelle restored right now. It's been sitting in a barn for 30 years!
