I thought I would make some more "love" themed cards to send to Operation Write Home.
I have this Cuttlebug embossing folder and it was so easy to emboss the fronts of the cards, then attach this scalloped circle layer with a sentiment from a retired Stampin' UP! stamp set called Well Scripted. The white bases are made from some super sturdy card stock that I bought a week or so at a store here locally called xPedx.. that place is awesome.
thanks for looking ~
have a great airborne day!
God Bless All Our Military.. each and every one of them
After you mentioned the great deals you found at xPedx I did a search and found a couple of them about an hour from me. I was so excited b/c I live in the boonies and seldom find cool stores that close to me. I hope to check one of them out when I go into the city.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to do something beautiful like this, but as you mentioned, you have to have great cardstock. I never seem to find any super thick cardstock!
ReplyDeleteGail.. I hope you find some deals at your xPedx too. Kathryn.. check local paper/print shops, they'll probably have some good card stock. I was surprised how thick this stuff is and it was under $9 for a big ream of it. ~ Pam
ReplyDeleteGail, this is just so stunning! Thanks so much for participating in the Inspired Stamps OWH Sept challenge!! We hope we'll see you entered in our October challenge too!! Blessings!
ReplyDeletebeautiful - if I want heavy white cardstock - I usually use water color paper - I can find that locally - beautiful card - sure to make someone's heart flutter.
