SC327 & OWH "DAD" Father's Day card

I used the sketch challenge from SCS for this card.. and the Father's Day MidWeek Throwdown from the OWH Stars & Stamps site.



Since I already had a card base of Stampin' UP! Cherry Cobbler left from the last card I made.. I used it, layered it with Basic Black, White and some Brushed Silver. The truck image is from a retired Stampin' UP! set Classic Pickups.
I embossed the one layer with a diamond print embossing folder. For the background I stamped the truck after stamping off once. The "Dad" is from a Lizzie Anne Designs stamp set.

    Beautiful!! I do have that emboss folder, I picked up for .99¢ somewhere, but with the rolling pin, I can't get it right.

    What a great card. Terrific stamp and the Diamond Plate in Silver is just perfect. It really looks like something from a garage. I just got that folder last month and I love it for Man cards. I also love your color combinations. Thanks you for sharing.

    I love the card! Do you know how I can find the stamp set? I have a son who is a mechanic and truck fan, so I would use the stamp quite often!

    This is great! I like the way you used the truck for a background stamp. I made a card using SCS sketch challenge today and flipped it, I love the way you used it too :) It's neat seeing everyone's interpretation. Thanks for playing in our challenge at Operation Write Home!

    I've got to tell you that the tire tread pattern in the center of the card really seals the deal on this one. It made me look at the card longer and take notice of all of the other elements that you took the time to add and truly this/these piece(s) special...not only for Father's Day, but for any "manly" day of the year.
