I seen a tutorial on the OWH Stars & Stamps site and thought I'd give it a try. I seen this done a while back on Sherry Cheevers blog using printed images.. but since I never hooked up either of my photo printers since I moved here 2.5 years ago.. what a shame, two really nice HP Photosmart photo printers and I upload and get my photos printed at Walgreen's.
I used a sketch challenge layout from OWH.. it was a Bonus Sketch:
Anyways... I thought I'd try it.. and midways through the coloring I wondered what in the world I was thinking choosing to go this route.. ha ha.. I like the end product.. not sure if it's too thick to be mailed (for deployed military to mail).. but we'll see.. I'm sure it'll get tucked in an envelope and make it through just fine.
I used Stampin' UP! Serene Spring.. one of my all time favorite Stampin' UP! images. I messed up on my bird..but I still like it.

Beautiful card, Pam! Love that pyramid technique.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card Pam. I can totally relate to wanting to avoid intricate images when it comes to coloring but you have to admit the end results are beautiful!
