all done... 12 "Over the Top" skateboarder cards
I guess today is a day I just can't seem to count.. ha ha.. I ended up with 11 of the star layers and an extra skateboarder.. so I could make 11 more cards.. I didn't have another layer of the embossed blue, so I just put a strip on it and it looks fine. I ended up with a whole dozen of these fun cards.

SC326 "OVER THE TOP" Skateboarder card
I used the layout from the SCS Sketch challenge #326 for this card. I bought this embossed star paper from Tuesday Morning a while back and really want to find a way to use it.. there is 25 12x12 papers to use up.. this is the first time I've cut into it. thanks for looking ~ have a great airborne day! ... they're all done.. so pretty "BUTTERFLY ~ THANK YOU" gatefold cards
I finished the batch of 20 of the gatefold cards. The card in the bottom right of the picture is the one I made earlier. I will put the pearly things on them tomorrow, I attached the butterflies with Tombow Multi glue, so I want to let them dry.

.... getting ready to make 20 of the gatefold "Thanks for everything" butterfly cards
I have cut and punched everything.. I do still need to stamp the images, but I'll do that in a minute... I am going to make 20 of these gatefold cards. I added a pearl to each of the butterflies on the last cards I made.. but don't have enough to do all of these, so I'll pick up some tomorrow at the store.

Super easy gatefold BUTTERFLY ~ THANKS card
Gatefold cards are super easy and can be made rather quickly.
I used a Unity stamp on the front, a Lizzie Anne Designs stamp on the inside.. the butterfly punch is from Martha Stewart. The card stock base is Moonrock Cover that I purchased from a local printer. If I can find my little white pearls I will put some on the butterflies.
To make a gate fold card:
take a piece of card stock that measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score it at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8" then fold. Just make any piece to go on the front ~ remember to only put adhesive on the one side of your piece because that is the piece that sits on only one side.. hope that makes sense.

all 20 "DAD" lion cards are complete..........
I got tired last night and in the middle of scoring the card bases, I decided to head to bed... should've stayed up since I laid in bed for nearly 2 hrs before falling asleep.
I just finished them all and am so liking the way they turned out.

... getting ready to make 20 "DAD" Lion cards
I have cut out all the layers.. stamped and punched out the pieces needed.. but I noticed that I have yet to emboss the one rust layer.. I can do that quickly. I changed the card base on these cards, because I wanted to use up all the rest of the Really Rust that I had.. and it is now officially gone, less a handful of scrap pieces. I wanted to stamp until 11 pm, and it's a minute after already.. so I'll give myself a half an hour, hopefully I can finish these up so I can start on something else tomorrow.

OWH Sketch #62 "DAD" Lion card
I seen the sketches posted on the OWH site earlier today.. but I was working hard on a scrapbook for someone and wasn't able to get to make any cards until I finished my project.. which I did and it looks awesome! I can't share it right now because the person who is due to receive it, doesn't know anything about it.. so I want to keep it a surprise. The sketch I used was a bonus sketch and I turned it for the card I made:
I used Stampin' UP! Basic black card stock for the base and layers, Really Rust on layers and some card stock that I recently bought at a local printer for the other layers. Really Rust ink on the "DAD" sentiment which is from a Lizzie Anne Designs set, Memento Black ink on the Lion which is from a retired Stampin' UP! set titled Serengeti... I am so loving the images in this set ~ they make some great masculine cards.

.. "Just buzzin' by to say hi"... CAS card

the finished cards with the "BIG flowers"
I just finished all my cards using the "big flowers"... I like the way they turned out.
The card bases are Night of Navy, the sentiment is stamped in black on Kiwi Kiss card stock.
The pattern paper is some random paper I had laying around.. I had to add some rose colored stripes on the pieces for the cards with the mauve flowers.. since there was no color on it that matched the flowers.
The buttons are from a pack of Latte buttons from Stampin' UP! that I recently purchased off their clearance rack.. I used all the bigger size buttons on these cards.. and had to use one just a tad bit smaller.. glad I had enough for them all. The ribbon is Stampin' UP! very vanilla .. oh so pretty.

what to do with these big flowers???
I think that I am going to use the same layout from yesterday's card.. and incorporate these big flowers that I have had sitting around for what seems like for-EVER!!! The scrapbook store that I bought these beauties from in Springfield, MO ~ across the street from Bass Pro Shop ~ isn't even in business anymore... sad, because it was a fun place for me to go when I dropped the guys off at BPS.
I'm going to find me some coordinating card stock and get to making some cards ~ hugs!

OWH Sketch #61 "Thinking of you" card
I used the sketch layout from the Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps site.
I used Riding Hood Red for the base, black on the main layer with a Stampin' UP! Pink along with white. I stamped the "Thinking of You" from the SAB set So Happy for you (it was a FREEBIE!!).. some Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon and a Fleurette.. I forgot, I embossed the pink layer.. and that whole layer is on dimensionals. A fun and easy card.
