I guess that's what I get for being up so late stamping.. I made a card to send to my hubby today using a retired Stampin' UP! set that has Pickups in it.. can't remember the exact name... I made it, wrote a note inside, then tucked it in an enevelope and sealed it up.. as I stamped a "sent with love" stamp on the back of the envelope, I realized I hadn't taken a picture.. It was a nice card.. in always artichoke and mellow moss.. using confetti cream for the neutral.. aaaaaahhhh.. I'll try not to do that again! I was tired, guess that's my excuse!

~ something I've been working on today... Monkey mini cards
I have all the monkeys colored in, just need to cut them all out.. I have these three done and three more to do.
The stamp set is one I got from Hobby Lobby last week, the bottom piece is torn and then rolled over with my finger.. I stamped it all over using a SU set that I can't remember the name but the stamp set is 4 mini background stamps and the one I used was the specks, I stamped it over and over again in versamark. The tree was handcut using some Chocolate Chip that I ran through the bigkick using a cuttlebug folder, the leaves were stamped and cut out, the saying is from a set I got at JoAnn's, it has a bunch of small sayings and this "hi" fit perfectly. The saying is layered on two pieces I cut out using nestabilities dies.
I used some dimensionals on these cuties too!

~*NOEL*~ Glittery Dasher Christmas Card
This card started out following Beate John's blog.. however my main image ended up being too bad, so I ended up making it a bit different.
The Dasher stamp is stamped in versafine black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.. however when I ran it through the xyron to put the glitter on the back, I ended up liking the glitter on the front better.
I used the bigkick and some nestabilities dies on the main image to cut out the shapes.. The striped ribbon is Stampin' UP! and I tied it in a bow and finished it off with a green button with some DMC floss tied in a bow through it.
The "Noel" is from Stampin' UP! Many Merry Messages stamped in versafine black ink on white, punched out and layered on a green circle punch out, then onto a Designer label punchout in Tempting Turquoise and then layerd onto a red circle punch out.
The DSP is retired SU paper, I think it's Jersey Shore.. the card base/layer is Garden Green and Tempting Turqoise.
I used some Dimensionals on this baby as well! love em'!

~*REJOICE*~ cross mini card
I had some papers leftover from the card yesterday, just laying on my desk, so I thought I'd make something with them.. fitting them to a new Inkadinkado stamp set that I got last week. The Cross was stamped in Versamark and then embossed with a mixture that is gold and gold glitter embossing powders, then colored in with copic markers.
I stamped "Rejoice" on Stampin' UP! cardstock vellum and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I sponged all the edges of the cardstock and vellum and then just layered it together, I tied off some gold SU organza ribbon on the vellum piece.
It's so pretty in person.. so shiny.

~*OH NO!*~ monkey with bananas card
I got this monkey set earlier this week at Hobby Lobby.. I made this version and an add-on that goes under the "O" that is "O's" logo, it was made for a conservative stamping friend of mine.
I used all Stampin' Up! card stock, the letters were cut out using the Cricut Expression and Plantin Schoolbook cartridge, I used some cuttlebug folders on the background and on the tree, the leaves were stamped and cut out, the bananas and monkey were stamped, colored and cut out. I used copic markers on the monkey and bananas.

Happy Thankgiving to everyone today ~ I hope that you are enjoying a day of thanks with family and friends.
Some things have happened in the last week that I haven't been stamping ~ but am hoping to get myself back on track here shortly.
Please say a prayer for God to watch over and protect my wonderful husband on this deployment.
So today as you think of things you are thankful for, please remember our deployed military and their families. May God Bless each of them in every way.

~*MERRY CHRISTMAS*~ Glittery Tree card
This card uses an Inkadinkado stamp set called Holiday Silhouettes ~ so pretty!
I stamped the tree and then used a two way glue pen to draw over the swirls and then added some Stampin' UP! glitter ~ another pretty!
I stamped the flourish snowflakes on the background which is River Rock card stock, the Merry Christmas in Red Riding Hood on white, sponged in around the edge with some Distress ink (same with tree piece).
The saying and tree are cut out using Nestabilities dies, I think they are Labels 3 or 4.. for the always artichoke layer under the saying, I just cut it down to size and glued it on the back of the saying piece.
The ribbon is some ribbon I got from Michael's last year. Stampin' UP! brads layered on a 1/4" punch out using a Stampin' UP! punch.
The River Rock piece is layered on a red piece and the card base is Always Artichoke.
I did use some dimensionals on the card on the saying piece.. love em'!

~*HAPPY SNOWMAN*~ NOEL Christmas Card
What a fun snowman stamp this is.. it's from an Inkadinkado stamp set called Filigree Snowman.
I stamped the snowman on a Stampin' Up! Top Note Die cut out.. layed it onto some retired SU DSP Wintergreen and then on some Always Artichoke and the card base is Certainly Celery.
The snowflake is a Martha Stewart punch that I punched out in Certainly Celery, took a two way glue pen and covered it in glue and then dipped it into a container of some large flake snow stuff (can't remember the name of it) ~ attached it with glue dots then put a big SU rhinestone brad on it.
The "Noel" is from the same stamp set and I stamped it on white and punched it out using a Stampin' UP! oval punch and layered it onto an Always Artichoke scallop oval punch from Stampin' UP!
The wide grossgrain ribbon is Certainly Celery from Stampin' UP!
I did use Dimensionals on the card too.. my favorite thing in the Stampin' UP! catalog!

~*SNOWMAN & TREES*~ Christmas Card
Sorry for not posting as often as I would like, and without going into anything personal.. let's just say it's been quite busy at home!
I made this card a few days ago and had forgotten to post it. I had seen a thing on someone's blog where they rubbed two styrofoam balls together and made some "faux snow" so I wanted to give it a try.
I used Punch Pals stamp set for this card.. the embossing circle on the presents is from the Punch Pals plus brass template. DSP is retired SU Wintergreen, I used Always Artichoke and Certainly Celery cardstock, and white.. I punched the shape beneath the ribbon twice and offset them (I think it's the snowflake, but am not sure, the only catalog laying beside me is a current one and it's not in it) ~ I used the mini bowdabra to make the bow from some SU thin organza ribbon and used a rhinestone brad on top of it.
The snowmen and trees are stamped on a top note die shape that I only cut out so much of it, the snowflake in the upper corner is stamped, punched out and layered on an AA piece and a mini rhinestone brad on it.
I hope I got it all.. nothing real fancy, but it was a fun card to make.. I really, really like the Wintergreen paper, wish that SU wouldn't have let it go, the grees are fab!

.... more scraps... and another card ~*A CARDINAL CHRISTMAS*~
Yes, I know.. another card using the same color scheme as the last two. I hadn't planned on making a card tonight.. only to see if I could figure out the dimensions for an envelope for a 5 x 7 card. I couldn't find my other box of envelope templates, so I gave up.. seen a stamp that that was sitting on my desk and thought I'd ink it up... why not right??? and since I still.. yes, still! had some of the cardstock and papers from the last two cards laying near or on my desk, I thought I'd use them. I had the top note die laying over near my Cricut Expressions and was on my way to walk out of the room and seen them.. then seen the stamp set and decided at that moment to make a card.
The set is A Christmas Cardinal set from Stampin' UP, cardstock is Old Olive, Very Vanilla, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip and a retired SU DSP paper,,, can't remember the name of it right now.. it's pretty isn't it!
More wide chocolate satin ribbon from SU.. delicious. I had wanted to put some brads up in the upper right corner of the top note die shape and had put it together and realized I had forgotten to do so.. oh well, on the next one!
have a super evening!

another.. ~*SEASON OF JOY*~ card made from scraps!
The only stamping I had to do for this card was to stamp the trees. The rest was already stamped and die-cut.. yeah! I actually made it yesterday afternoon and went to load it last night, but my computer/card reader wasn't cooperating so I gave up messing with it.. this morning it worked fine.
I had all the card stock and papers left on my desk from the last card and from previous started projects and instead of tossing it into the scraps box, I thought I'd make another card with it. I cut a 4 3/4" square of Chocolate Chip, and started layering onto it some Old Olive and So Saffron.. the retired DSP is actually layered over the top of the So Saffron and under the bottom layers to create a top that opens up instead of like a regular card. I had stamped the trees, cut them out and ... oh, I did have to stamp the Merry Christmas and punch the ovals out for it.. I forgot that. This card went together really quickly since I had most of it laying on my desk anyways. My husband was on the computer while I put it together.
Have a blessed day ~
