Hello All..    Being an Army family, there are times when we have to say goodbye to some amazing people and today was one of those days. We said goodbye to one family and welcomed another.  The sentiment on my card expresses that even though it's hard, I am so very grateful for all the friendships made over the years.

On my card I used some really neat stamps from Concord & 9th called Lace Leaf. I stamped the background of each stamp with Distress Oxide Inks in these colors: L to R: Fired Brick, Fossilized Amber and Broken China. I then stamped the Lace Leaf in Versafine Black ink. I then die-cut them out using a die from the coordinating die set.

The background is a piece of Tim Holtz Woodgrain Card stock. The black spots are made by smooshing some paint from a Tim Holtz Black Tie Paint Dabber, spritzing water to mix it up, then taking a paintbrush to drip in the paint mixture and tapping it to splat dots all over it..  some spots were a tad big.. but once the leaves were put on the card, you didn't even see them.

I die-cut the word "grateful" four times and glued them on top of each other using Multi Medium Matte ~ one of my favorite adhesives!

Once everything was put together, I added some sequins and it was done.

Here are most of the supplies I used on my card ~ links below in Supply list:

card stock:  Neenah Solar White, Kraft, Bazzill Licorice Twist, Tim Holtz Woodgrain Card Stock
