TDLLC ~ MFTWSC291 "HAPPY CUPCAKE DAY!" Paper Pieced card using MFT stamps & dies

Happy Thursday ~ on Sunday!    The past week has been sort of a blur.  I jumped in with both feet to help out with our Brigade's Military Ball.  It was last night and was a really awesome ball if I may say so..  with all the work I was doing making stuff for it, staying up until near 2 am the last five nights and my daughter's birthday on Thursday, I totally overlooked my Design Team post for TupeloDesignsLLC.

All product linked at bottom of post ~  **Reminder ~ TDLLC has FREE Shipping in the United States as well as discounted and free shipping to other countries ~ AND ~ they ship SUPER FAST!!!

I woke up this morning to the sound of someone screaming  ~ inside my head ~ that today was Saturday and I had missed my Thursday post.  I went and made this card using a totally adorable stamp set from My Favorite Things Pure Innocence line called "Cupcake Day" ~ this little girl is so cute!

I colored her up using Copic Markers and did some paper piecing for her dress.   I just noticed I had forgotten to color in the bow on her dress ~ I am going to color it in with a light purple marker.

I have some pictures below showing the paper piecing.  This is an option to do for clothing instead of coloring it in ~ plus, it's super easy to do.

I used Versafine Black ink to ink up the middle of the stamp since I am only wanting the dress portion of the stamp for this.

Since the stamps are clear this makes it super easy to line up your image so that you can see through the stamp to pick the portion of the pattern paper you want to be the dress.

After cutting the dress along the outside of the lines ~ I took a Memento Black marker and from the backside you run the side of the marker along the outside of the dress to make the edge be black if looked at from the side..  doing this makes it look a lot neater.

I then glued her dress to the already colored in image using Multi Medium Matte and laid a block on top of it for a little bit.

I used coordinating dies to cut out my image..  if you do not have the dies, this image is super easy to cut out leaving a small white edge.

I used this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #291 ~ love this sketch:  MFTWSC291

TDLLC ~ Day 16. Copic Markers "HOPE YOUR BIRTHDAY IS LOADS OF FUN" card using Lawn Fawn stamps/dies Outlawz Sketch Challenge

Day 16 of  #thedailymarker30day Coloring Challenge.

Happy Thursday!  I have a Design Team Card Project for you for TupeloDesignsLLC. <Tupelo Designs LLC
has FREE Shipping in the U.S. and discounted/free shipping for other countries and they ship super fast!!

I have a funny to share... tonight there is a Welcome for me, so I have had Thursday on the brain because I will have to talk in front of everyone and I am a bit out of practice.  Last night I started out making a card and thought it was Wednesday night meaning I was making a post for Thursday.. so I got my post all done, shared it all over Facebook.............. and then...........  I woke up this morning and the very first thing I thought of was that it was NOT Thursday!!!   I had to go delete everything I shared on Facebook and edit my blog post.   ahhhhhh..  I won't do that again! haha!!

So for my card I put all my stamps into a stamping tool, inked them up with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped them. They stamped so nicely that I only had to ink them once.. love Lawn Fawn stamps!!   by the way ~ I'm using a super fun set called "Loads of Fun" ~ which is it!!
*I ended up stamping the bubbles and another sock later for my card.

I am by no way an expert at Copic coloring..  or an expert at anything for that matter!  haha..  I just wanted to share how I colored up the washing machine.... which I got a tad sloppy while doing so. For some reason I had a hard time staying in the lines ~ I gave up and decided to purposely color outside the lines because I decided to cut it out instead of using the coordinating die for it.

I had already colored the top of the machine ..  I thought I took pictures of adding each color for it, but afterwards realized I hadn't.  ..  first I colored the machine with R35.

Then I brushed in some R37 around the outside.

then some R39

Then I blended backwards using the R37 and R35..  then R37 all over.   I then cut it out and ran a black Memento Black marker around the edges.  I did use R39 to color the ring around the door.

A couple weeks ago I asked my friends on Facebook to suggest some sites for card sketches. I wanted some new sites to venture to. My friend Margaret suggested the Outlawz Challenges site.  I signed up, and then joined the Wednesday Sketch Challenge group.  The sketch I used is this week's sketch.. what fun~!

Day 15. Copic Markers "... BUT YOU ARE KIND OF AMAZING Just Sayin'" card using WPlus9 Stamps/Dies *W/MEASUREMENTS

Day 15 of #thedailymarker30day Coloring Challenge

For my card today I used an absolutely adorable stamp set from WPlus9 called "Unforgettable" ~~~ ohhhh sooo cute! I used Copic Markers to color up the elephants and balloons.

I stamped and colored up a bunch of the images from the stamp set using Copic markers.   My first elephant got a little dark, but I went with it. I imagine that elephants are lots of different shades.   I tried to lighten him up so he was easier to see by dotting the image with the Copic markers and I like the way it ended up.
I used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch. I flipped the sketch.  The measurements are shared below.

These the the Copic markers I used on the balloons:

These are the Copic marker colors I used on the elephants:

After die-cutting the rectangle piece I stamped the sentiment on it. I used a stamping tool and stamped it twice so it turned out darker.

After putting the balloons together..  by the way.. I cut one of the balloon strings off at the balloon, then turned it around so the string went in the opposite direction as the other balloon, then glued it to under the balloon right at the bottom where the strong was. I lined up the lines so no one really knows.    I put foam tape on the back of the balloons and the elephant.  **note: after I put this piece on the card, I realized I needed two layers of foam on the balloons so I added another square piece of foam on each.

I put foam tape under the brown card stock layer. I decided last minute to add some brown brads. I punched through the card stock and foam tape and put them on over the foam.

I used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #457: MOJO457

*MEASUREMENTS:   I jotted down the measurements I used for my card on the sketch I printed out. I took a picture of it and shared it below. I did use dies for the square and rectangle shape.

Day 14. Zig Clean Color Brush Pens. Failed coloring..

Day 14 of #thedailymarker30day Coloring Challenge. I attempted to color in this image.. but I failed.. I am going to let it dry and try paper piecing on it so it's not a total loss.   I am tired, so that may have something to do with it. Haha.  Night!

Day 13. Ink Smooshing/Ink Layering "MANY THANKS" card using Hero Arts Pineapple Coloring Layering Stamps/Die

Day 13 of #thedailymarker30day Coloring Challenge.

Today I inked up a brand new set to me. It's from Hero Arts and is one of their Color Layering sets called Pineapple.  I really like how easy it was to stamp.    I bought the die-cut as well.  I die-cut the pineapple, then laid the card stock with the die-cut in it in my stamping tool and then lined up the stamps. It was pretty easy.

I smooshed my distress ink pad onto a piece of clear plastic, sprayed it with a water spritzer and then smooshed the plastic onto the watercolor paper. I used a paper towel to dab up any extra ink/water on the card stock.  It's really cool looking in person.
