OWH #54 "Happy Birthday Outer Space" card

I thought I'd make another card using the OWH Sketch Challenge #54 layout:

All Stampin' UP! cardstock, stamp sets, punches.. I used nestabilities die for the circles and a cuttlebug embossing folder for the embossing. I usd some gold Stickles glitter glue for the rocket trail.. I hope it looks okay when it dries.

Have a blessed day!

OWH #54 "A kind word is like a spring day."

I used the sketch layout off the Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps site for this card.
Here is the sketch challenge layout:

I used All stamping up products on this card, with the exception of the Nestabilities dies, Cuttlebug embossing folder and watercolor pencils.

The process I used to pick the card stock I used was more of a ... "okay, that looks good", and "yeah, that'll work".. kinda put together. Baja Breeze, Rose Red and More Mustard.. what a combination. Serene Spring is the stamp set I used, one of my favorite Stampin' Up! sets that I own.

OWH Sketch#53 "Thinking About You" Monkey card

I thought I'd make another card using the sketch layout #53 on the Operation Write Home site. I think it's a fun layout.

Tonight I used a monkey stamp set I got from Hobby Lobby. This hanging monkey is the cutest!

I used all Stampin' UP! cardstock, a Sizzix embossing folder, copic markers.

United States Army ~ Soldier HOOAH! card

I made this card awhile back.. but realized that it fits the OWH layout.. I really liked this card, I had made another one like it as well.

Soldier Collage stamp is from a retired Stampin' UP! set Courage & Honor, HOOAH is from an ArtDeclassified set. All SU papers (except for the saying)

OWH Sketch #53 "Some things have to be....."

I seen on the Operation Write Home blog this morning that a new sketch challenge had been posted. I had been busy with stuff this afternoon and into evening.... Watching the Green Bay Packers defeat DA' Chicago Bears.. 21-14.. the Packers are Super Bowl bound, eating hot wings and coleslaw.. I got busy stamping.

I made this card using a Stampin' UP! stamp set that I have had for months, but had yet to even open the case (I know, right!)... but today it got to get some ink on at least three of the stamps in the set. I wish I had had a wider purple ribbon for the card, but I went through both boxes and nothing.. so I opted to use two, not sure that I like, but it'll grow on me.
Everything on the card is Stampin' UP! except the embossing folder and the tag die.

A card before bed... got a migraine that won't go away.

I was cleaning up tonight, putting away packs of cardstock that I bought last summer that I still hadn't put away in their hanging folders and trying to figure out what I'm going to do with all the new colors that will not fit in my rack.. ahhh the dilemna.

I still have some of the SU DSP Bella Rose and thought I'd make another card or two.. I ended up with one because my head is hurting so bad that I am going to go to bed and work on the other one tomorrow.

Stampin' UP! stamp set Dreams du Jour, Ruby Red, Certainly Celery, White, and Bella Rose DSP, Nestabilities die, Taffeta ribbon and pencils.

all finished... "December" snowflake Christmas Cards

I ended up with 12 cards.. I didn't realize I had cut/embossed 12 instead of 10 of the blue layers.. so I went ahead and made them all. The most time was spent on the thread and the buttons, other than that, they were really easy cards to make.

Stampin' UP! cardstock and buttons, Tim Holtz embossing folder, Martha Stewart Snowflake punch, embroidery thread.

... getting ready to put together 10 Christmas Cards

I decided to make 10 quick Christmas cards for the challenge on SCS.. I was inspired by the Valentine's Day cards I made earlier today... hopefully I can use up some of these Stampin' UP! buttons I've had around for 5 years.

... more "Love You Much" Valentine's Day Cards

Me and my daughter Heather went downstairs and enjoyed some delicious chicken pot pies from Schwan's.. and then back upstairs for her to try and defeat a level on Super Mario Bros on the Wii.. and for me to make some more of the embossed Valentine's Day cards, I really liked the one I made earlier today.

This time I eliminated the white card back.. I realized it's not for me, so this time I did Real Red card bases. Stamp set: Stampin' UP! Well Scripted. Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug 5 pk I got yesterday at HL. I punched out the saying with a heart punch and layered it on a scalloped heart punch out.

These cards are super duper easy

OWH "Love You Much" embossed card

There's a Midweek Throwdown Challenge on the Operation Write Home website: "White on White with a Pop of Color"... I have never ever made a card base of white.. but thought what the heck!

The sentiment is from a Stampin' UP! stamp set "Well Scripted".. I stamped it, punched it out with a heart punch, then layered it on a scalloped heart punch.
White Cardstock for the base, Real Red layer and then white cardstockt hat I embossed with a new Cuttlebug embossing folder (they were in a 5 pack)that are from a local craft store (HL), I got them yesterday and thought I'd put them to use.

**EDITED TO ADD: After lunch, I made four more cards.. this time doing away with the white card base. MORE VALENTINE'S DAY CARDS

CCC11 "Merriest Wishes" Santa Claus Christmas Cards

I thought I'd work on some more Christmas cards tonight for the challenge on SCS. I sat down at my desk and was looking up at the picture holders above the racks that hold all my ink pads and seen three already stamped Santa Claus layers. I had these leftover from when I made the 18 cards for our Battalion food baskets back in December, so I thought I'd make three more of those cards because they really were a lot of fun to make.

I cut the three card bases out of Crumb Cake/Kraft, a layer in Real Red that I ran through the Bigkick using a SU embossing folder.. then wrapped and tied some ribbon around each Santa Claus panel, stamped the saying, punched it out along with a layer for it, put them all together... and waalaa.. I was done.

CCC11 SC316 ~ "A Merry Christmas" card

I recently signed up for a Christmas Card Challenge on SCS. Each month you set a goal and make that amount of cards. This is my first card and it took me quite a while tonight to complete.. I am not one that really likes to make duplicate cards for things like this, so I take my time while making each card. The layout on this card using a sketch challenge, also on SCS: SC316

Everything on this card is Stampin' UP! except for the Nestabilities die I used for the tag, the Tombow markers used to color it in, and the embossing folder on the two panels.

Stampin' UP! stamp set Bells & Boughs, DSP, Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake. Always Artichoke ink sponged on papers.

I made two more of the same kinds of cards... "Love You"

Since I had already stamped and colored in the "Love You" layers, I decided to make a couple more cards using the same papers, cardstock, and ribbon. I used an embosslit to make the butterflies this time.

OWH Sketch #34 ~ "LOVE YOU" card

Last night I made a card using the Operation Write Home Sketch #52, and on the same post, they had a sketch #34, so tonight I thought I'd make one using that layout.

This card uses the same Stampin' UP! stamp set Dreams du Jour that I used on the last card posted. I had stamped a bunch of the images, and had the Bella Rose DSP out, so I thought I'd make another card.

"Love You" card.. cased big time! ha ha

I was surfing on ebay earlier today and happened to see someone selling some card kits and this was one of the card designs that they used. It was so pretty that I thought I'd make one myself.. especially considering I have a bunch of the Bella Rose paper left.. it is SO beautiful. Maybe I'll make more and use it all up.
The stamped image is from a Stampin' UP! set called Dreams du Jour and I used all Stampin' UP! DSP & Cardstock for the card, the beautiful ribbon is vanilla SU ribbon as well.
