*BOO!!* Halloween Scary Eyes & Bleeding Mouth card

Hi everybody... it's been a couple of weeks since I posted anything.. I have been busy with my kids, couponing to get thins to pack in care packages to send to Iraq for soldiers of the 37th Engineers Battalion and some medical issues.
Today I thought I'd put some ink to a $1.00 set of clear stamps that I got a from JoAnn's.. the way I had thought up how I'd make this card isn't how it ended up.. maybe the next one will!

*ps. it's heard to see, but stamped all over the card base is the word "BOO!" in red brillance ink and then embossed with dazzling diamonds embossing powder, you can see it in real life, but it was really hard to pick up in the picture.

~*YOU'RE A CLASSIC*~ cool truck masculine card

I found this challenge (layout) over on a stamping website and thought I'd play along..

This is the card I came up with.. pulled a classic stamp set from the shelf "Classic Pickups".. I used some papers that were in a pad that my mom gave me me many years ago.. I thought it would work for this card.

~*HAPPY BIRTHDAY*~ colorful flower card

I had a few of the flower images left from the last card, so I thought I would color them in.. I colored one in all the way and the other two I only did parts, cut them out and they are all layered on the flower.

I sponged everything.. the Basic Grey background paper got "louder" with sponging, so I'm not overall really happy with the way it turned out.. but I do like the colors on the flower.

~*You Only Live Once*~ flower card

I so wanted to do a card to participate in the Clean and Simple challenge on SCS, however, it didn't work out that way.. I like the way this card turned out.. it was a bit time consumingand I hope whoever receives it will enjoy it.

I used Fifth Ave. Floral and Touch of Nature (ret.) stamp sets, SAB DSP (ret.), Oval Frame Sizzix die, Sizzlits Little Leaves die, Martha Stewart butterfly punch (the one with three butterflies on it), some brads, gold organdy ribbon and a sponge to tone down the DSP and for around the edges of everything. Oh.. I almost forgot.. some gold stickles on the center stems of the flower.

~*WAYNESVILLE TIGERS*~ Tiger card for my daughter

My oldest daughter "LOVES" Tigers.. that was the school mascot where she went to high school. I have been looking for this Tiger stamp for a long time and I just happened upon one on ebay several weeks ago and emailed the seller asking if they might have another.. I got a very nice email reply saying that she might be able to get one for me. A week later, she had found one and today it arrived in the mail. Brand new and ready for me to use (course I had to mount it/it's a TAC stamp).

I know that my coloring isn't the greatest.. and I was so intent on finishing the card that I didn't get up to go look a tiger up on the computer.

I know that she will enjoy it.

Wowzers~ BRIGHT LIGHTS! BRIGHT LIGHTS! BRIGHT LIGHTS!!

Maybe that should read: Bright Colors! Bright Colors! Bright Colors!!

I reached for this adorable Robot stamp set and started coloring it in

with my Copic markers.. and then went to find cardstock.. Whoops! I didn't

have a single piece of Green Galore and had to dig in a few places where I have

scraps and cut card bases and finally found a piece.. probably the last in my room!

I used Only Orange and Yo Yo Yellow as well.

The Robots are stamped three times, then colored with Copic Markers, trimmed into a rectangle piece.. layered on an Only Orange piece.

I cut out two circles with the nestabilities dies, then took the Crop-i-dile and punched holes around on the yellow circle using both punches on the tool. Then I took a bunch of dimensionals and put between it and the green circle.

I stamped some stars in versmark on the green background layer and then used some clear embossing powder and heat set it.

After I had stamped "you wind me up" and clear embossed/heat set it.. I layered it on another cirlce and then the punched the scallop circle and then put it back into the punch holding it in with a slither of cardstock I glued to the center of it.. got it all lined up and punched again giving it the pointy look.. the piece was too big, so I cut the top off of it and put it under the main image.

Super Duper EASY ~*HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN*~ cards

These really are super easy.. the pumpkin face is an EK Success punch... punches like butter through the card stock.

On one card I clear embossed some spiders.. on the other I stamped "Trick or Treat" in black, it literally disappeared so I used some Versamark.. should've embossed it too, but didn't.. I added some eyelets on this card.. remember what eyelets are? I was laughing when I was putting them on the card because I haven't used them in forever and I have all that Stampin' UP! ever made.. ha ha.

~*TRICK OR TREAT*~ embossed Halloween card

This card has no stamping on it.. can you believe it!! I used a Sizzix Halloween die to emboss the orange layer, and for the trick or treat panel I cut out the rectangle using a nestabilities die, then slipped the piece into the Sizzix embossing mini folder.. I used a nestabilities scallop rectangle to layer behind the green piece.. used some dimensionals and put it all together.. super simple card.

~*HAPPY WEDDING DAY*~ embossed card

This card has a lot of "wow" in person.. the background is Stampin' UP! Brushed Silver card stock that is embossed, then I tied some silver organza ribbon with silver cord into a bow on it, then stamped Happy Wedding Day in memento black onto Whisper white cardstock, used some nestabilities dies to cut out and emboss the white, silver and black layers. I took some white flowers from the SU pretties kit and smooshed them onto a Brillance silver ink pad, but they look more vanilla.. that is the only part of the card I don't like.. my hubby loooked at it and said it was a really nice wedding card and didn't say anything about the flower.. so I guess it's alright.

~*Cupcake "MAKE A WISH"*~ Birthday Card

I betcha wasn't expecting to see a birthday card.. ha ha.. I thought I'd take a quick break from the Halloween cards. The reason I need to make many of them right now is to get them on their way to Iraq for soldiers of the 37th Engineers that is there right now, to send home to their loved ones. I have a couple boxes ready to do and just keeping adding to.. I think I am going to need to buy another shoebox to start one some Christmas cards.

now onto this card... I seen KWerner's Finally Friday card video today and it's what inspired me to make this card. I bought this retired stamp set from a lady who lives here locally for only $10 (Big bold Birthday I think is the name of it). I used a Martha Stewart Loopy border punch on the bottom trim. I stamped/embossed the yo-yo-yellow piece with white embossing powder, stamped the cupcake and cut it out.. then stamped the top with versamark and used SU irridescent ice embossing powder on it and then cut it out. The candles are stamped in Rose Red and cut out, flames are colored in using SU so saffron marker (it was what was laying on the desk). I used a bow maker thing I bought years ago for like $5.00 or $10.00. It a square piece of wood with holes that you stick dowels into and wrap your ribbon around, tie it off and waalaa.. you have a bow.

~*Happy Halloween*~ fun & easy card

The lady at Michael's yesterday asked me to bring in some cards that I had made using some of the punches I got within the last week. She said "you were so excited to get them and I would love to see what you've done with them" so this morning I woke up thinking about that durn spider web border punch.. I made this card using the spider web border and corner punch, the stamps are from Inkadinkado stamp sets.

~*CREEPING BY JUST TO TO SAY HI!*~ spider card

rubber stamping stampin up creeping by to say hi web wishes martha stewart spider web punch sponging brads paper piercing circle punch nestabilities airbornewife

Another Halloween card! ha ha.. I was in Michael's today and seen the lady that gave me the awesome deal on the punches the other day and I was telling her about some cards I had made and she asked me to bring some in. I thought I'd make another one to add to the ones I already made. It's been a while since I brought any cards I have made in to show her. There is a lady at ACMoore that when I get to talking about making something, she always asks me to bring it in to show her.

rubber stamping stampin up creeping by to say hi web wishes martha stewart spider web punch sponging brads paper piercing circle punch nestabilities airbornewife

For this spider web piece.. I cut a piece of basic black card stock 3 1/4" x 5" and then punched the corners and then the edges.. I cut a piece of Going Gray card stock to fit on top of it and rounded the corners on it before stamping the big web from Web Wishes (a retired Stampin' UP! stamp set) I stamped it once and then another part of it at the bottom of the piece. I punched out three of them big ole' spiders using the Martha Stewart spider punch, covered them in Versamark and then "supposed" clear embossing powder and heat set.. I do like the look, but still do not understand the white specks that only show up on the black card stock.

I sponged the edges, used some nestabilities circles and a scallop die on the saying, 1/4" circle punch to layer under the brads.. and used lots of dimensionals.. this girls favorite thing on my desk!

Hope you like it ~

A cute little funny story... has to do with cards.

Thank you Linda for posting this on our fav. site.. it was also seen on SCS.

As a new bride, Aunt Edna moved into the small home on her husband's ranch near Snowflake. She put a shoe box on a shelf in her closet and asked her husband never to touch it. For fifty years Uncle Jack left the box alone, until Aunt Edna was old and dying.

One day when he was putting their affairs in order, he found the box again and thought it might hold something important.

Opening it, he found two handmade cards and $82,500 in cash. He took the box to her and asked about the contents.

"My mother gave me that box the day we married," she explained. "She told me to make a handmade card to help ease my frustrations every time I got mad at you."

Uncle Jack was very touched that in 50 years she'd only been mad at him twice.

"What's the $82,500 for?" he asked. "Oh, that's the money I made selling the cards."

~*TRICK OR TREAT SPIDER*~ card SC240

This card uses the layout for the SCS Sketch Challenge 240. I used a spider web stamp that is one of the $1.00 stamps from JoAnn's and the Trick or Treat is from a Inkadinkado Halloween set I got last year.. I don't know what the name is because it's not in the packaging anymore.

~*HELLO FRIEND*~ bright/colorful quick/easy card!

rubber stamping stampin up cardstock hero arts hello friend ek success border punch michael's stitched felt ribbon striped pattern paper green purple yellow airbornewife
This card isn't my typical card.. but hey, I decided to mix things up a bit today. I started by punching the edge on the Lavender piece and then grabbed some "ancient" Stampin' UP! designer/pattern paper.. paired it with some $1.00 Michael's felt stitched ribbon.. the "Hello Friend" is from a Hero Arts stamp set, it's layered on circles of yo yo yellow, gable green and lavender lace.. a fun, bright card to send to a friend.
