Boxes, boxes and more boxes...

With the exception of a few boxes left in the living room full of DVD's and knick knacks.. the only boxes left to unpack are the ones upstairs in this room. It's a cardboard mess! I got some desks yesterday for the kids computers.. so today I am going to draw me up some sort of layout for the room and get busy unpacking. 32 boxes in this room are marked Arts & Crafts and contain stamping items.. the rest are books and papers.

This morning I finally placed a Stampin' UP! order for myself from the new catalog.. with the move and all, I really was not in the mood so to speak, for stamping.. but I am anxious to get things unpacked.. I am way behind in making cards for troops and I don't like that.

Wish me luck in getting things where they need be so I can get back to stamping for others.

Sock Monkey Card my Daughter made

I wasn't going to order the Sock Monkey set, but then caved in and did.. my daughter Taylor wanted to make a card using the set, and this is what she ended up with. I did cut out the printed paper to layer on the monkey.. thanks for looking and reading ~ Pam

I sure am loving the Gas DEcreases in price!! yeah! & STAMPIN' UP! SALE!!

On July 18th.. I remember this day because it was my dad's birthday and we went to Hopkinsville for dinner at a restaurant that he likes and on the way back we stopped to get gas. Now I drive a Nissan Armada and I really like my Armada, the only drawback is the gas mileage that it gets. When gas prices were hitting right at $4.00 a gallon I was cringing every time I went to fill it up. On the 18th the gas price as $3.99 that we paid as that gas station on the way home from dinner, and last night we went to go to Madisonville, KY and passed the same gas station and the price was $3.59 a gallon.. wowzers ... a .40 cent DEcrease in price.. I know that I seen $3.49 at a station yesterday afternoon as well. I am loving it because I will have more $$$ for stamping stuff rather than in liquid form that just goes away with every mile I put on my vehicle.

Just wanted to share my bit of happiness with the price decreases.

I am still in TN.. our household goods will be delivered to our house on the 21st. They said we have nearly 13,000 lbs.. wanna guess how many pounds of that was "stamping related" considering there was 32 boxes that came out of that room marked "arts & crafts" I can't imagine and don't want to image.. just happy that we stayed under our 14,000 lb limit.. this came at the price of selling a lot on ebay, a huge yard sale, countless trips with the trucks loaded full of donations for the Good Sam and giving away furniture... we kept the important stuff ya' know!

Tomorrow (August 11th) starts a sale on some new stamp sets that are in the Stampin' UP! Catalog.. Also.. it's the first day to order from the new catalog..
I hope that the flyer shows up readable.. I was in a hurry to post it, and not sure if I did it right or not.. you can click on it to make it larger too.

NOTE: the Putt Putt stamp set is not available till August 18th.. not sure why, but I seen the note on the SU site saying it wasn't available til then.

Red Butterflies ~ a kind word...

This is a card that was made off of a picture I seen that is in the new upcoming catalog. It was on the page that features the new In Color colors. The card shown was in black, but I didn't bring any black card stock with me, so I did mine in reds.. I used some ribbon from a pack that I just got from Stampin' UP! not sure that I care for it on the card, but I only had red grossgrain as the other choice, so I used this one.. I cut out each butterfly and put them on dimensionals.. my FAVorite thing in the catalog.. love em'!!!

I am cutting out 2" x 2" pieces of the new In Colors to share with my customers.. what a fun assortment of colors.. hope you all like them.

Have a great day ~ thanks for looking and reading, Pam
